  1. Well done, especially for one dog Know what you mean about the ammonia though, we did some small partridge sheds that were due for their once a year cleaning out not long ago - the dust and ammonia was choking.
  2. Thanks Mick. The biggest/oldest is a first x Deer/Greyhound bitch, the black 25" dog is 1/4 Beardie 3/4 Greyhound and the smallest of the lot is a half cross Deer/Greyhound - not a first cross though.

    WIRLESS INTERNET

Sounds to me like it is more something to do with your Internet Service Provider than the actual wireless hardware (netgear) - unless it is faulty? Have you just bought it, if so you could take it back and tell them it doesnt seem to be working properly and ask for an exchange?

    WIRLESS INTERNET

I have used netgear to wireless network 2 pc's and a laptop, it seems to work fine and there's no difference in speed when all 3 are connected.
  5. I have 3 lurchers, the eldest (9yrs) is 29 tts, the other two 25 and 24" tts.

  8. Rooster it was a very very boggy field, at the bottom of a bank, doesnt look to be on the pics but it was Was a bit weighed down in the back of the landy too
  9. IMO this one is the better of the two............get yourself there Keeps. I will try Nikey
  10. I will pass the word on, can't guarantee there will be more than that, as they are few and far between in this area but will let everyone know
  11. I went to one of these last year but I think it was later in the year - missed the first one as we were still out ratting. Will it have classes for plummers? Very nice small friendly little show
  12. Had another look out with Floyd at the weekend, in a bid to mop up the remaining rats around the estate. We got off to a good start with the dogs marking at the first place we stopped and a couple of rats in the bag after just a few minutes We were soon joined by the keepers son and his friend, both good company for young Floyd. Then the smoker went and broke, just at a time the dogs had started marking bits that were not possible to dig - wood piles, stone piles, holly bushes, plastic wrapped bales in the middle of a pile of brambles, you name it, the dogs wer
  13. Its approx 4 x 8" inside and approx 8 x 8" for the outside run, it used to be quite a bit bigger, but part of it was partitioned off to make a ferret run. Theres 6 brahma bantams running in it and there more than plenty of room for them
  14. We've just been getting a few bantam hens, no cockerel so they aren't too noisy. They are kept in a good sized aviary - you could try and sneak a few in the neighbours might never find out
  15. We have two terriers with heart murmurs, Dottie our russell who has a Grade 1 murmur that wasnt even noticed till she was 3 years old - we found out when she went for her annual jabs one year, and Lily our pup who has a grade 4 - 5 murmur. The vet has told us theres no reason why she shouldnt go ratting and just to let her live life to the full - which she is - at the moment you wouldnt think there was a thing wrong with her to look at her - she is fit and full of life. Quality of life counts for a lot, and if the dogs live to work then thats what they should do wherever possible.
  16. Thats all changing Millet, people of all the different clubs can and do get on when given the chance. Im not bothered about show stuff, yes I sometimes show some of them, but its never taken seriously - these pups are bred for work, thats why they are docked, if I'd been interested in showing them I wouldn't have done that. They are related to yours I believe; their grandmother is moorgate pip. Its a shame you feel you won't own one again, especially as things are now changing for the better.
  17. They are laid about like loppy dogs how old are the pups?
  18. It always amazes me how quickly puppies develop and mature, the two little fatties tonight
  19. we were back out again today, a lovely cold frosty morning. Not so many rats around as previously, in the same spots, but the floods last year may have had an effect if what the keeper and the farmer said is true, either that or we were just too efficient The keeper turned up today to see what was going on and left his son, a friend of young Floyds to join in. We were also accompanied today by deepdig and some of his dogs, Midge, Nellie and the young lurcher, Flint. He brought along his new rat attack smoker to try out. All dogs worked well and soon got stuck in marking. Not much b
  20. Heres a few pics of yesterdays ratting, we had quite a bit of sport yesterday, a lot more digging than the previous day as the ground we worked was different. The dogs worked well again. Floydy beat the dogs to this one you've no idea how hard it is to run around in the corn chasing rats all I can say is glad I had hold of the camera spot the rat another fantastic day
  21. They are mostly bushing, ratting and rabbiting dogs.
  22. We were back out again today and I got a few more pics of him running around like that Will post them tomorrow Yep, the red and white ones are plummers Uru.
  23. Floyd was kind enough to invite us back out ratting on his permission again this year, at the end of the shoots. We had planned to go yesterday, but the day was postponed and instead we went today, of all the places to spend St Valentines day I couldnt think of anything better than a bit of ratting The keepers had promised that they had seen hundreds and thousands of big rats, the size of cats, you know how it goes! Well I think they might have exaggerated a bit, as there seemed to be less around than last year, on the particular spots we went to; still there were still a few about and
