  2. The first one is the one you will always remember well done Ruby
  3. think you posted just as I was typing what camera cúagusgiorraí not be much good if I was 6 foot under though would they
  4. Swampy, theres a lot better cameras on the market now than the one I use. Its a Nikon D50, which I dont think they make any more now, with a 70 - 300 Nikkor lens. I've just bought myself a new lens though out of my birthday money, a 18 - 200 mm sigma zoom but that will probs be used more for ratting pics than for running dog pics
  5. don't you think I would if I could A few more some of the youngun, Nuala, ½ deer/grey
  6. bloody cameras worn out buckshot, I could do with a newun
  7. As I missed at least a couple of seasons on this forum I thought I'd put up a few pics taken over the past year. These are of our 1/4 beardie, 3/4 greyhound "Indie" hope you like them
  8. I know that it was you who grassed me up because he told me so. It came as no surprise though, I expected it to be honest. My best dog has just had two pups, and I did not get her from you. You are legion kennels, YOU ARE SUSAN ROTHWELL - HELLO CAN EVERYONE READ THAT? YOUR FAVOURITE LADY IS ON THE FORUM Im going to leave this thread to the tossers now, just wanted to set the record straight
  9. Oh theyre docked aright susan rothwell/tim green with papers too, so don't go sending the authorities to me again, I have all the paperwork as I did last time btw my biggest dog is one you bred, I like her though Have fun in court
  10. My observation is the opposite of yours, there are plenty of strong looking plummers, when you start to look about, as there are any other type of terrier, I myself like a strong terrier in preference to a weaker one. I put up plenty of constructive posts, but I have yet to read one from you. Just an observation
  11. We'll be over that way a couple of times next week, will keep my eyes open for him. Hope you find him soon. Have just reread and realised he is muzzled
  12. with respect how can they be strong looking AND similar to plummers? nigh on all the plummers seen on here are femmer looking things with narrow heads and fine bone. with respect half and half, thats complete and utter bollox
  13. Its impossible to tell size from a pic like that. I weighed them when they were born, they were exactly the same weight as terriers who have finished at 12". Im not saying that these ones will, they are very strong pups, but they shouldnt be bigger than their parents which will do me fine.
  14. Born a week ago, these are the newest members of our pack, Petal and Keela, both doing well and fat as butter - these are two very precious little pups petal keela their parents dam - Rosie and their sire, deepdigs Coalville Sony
  15. Just been looking for the original photo you've captured it very well We were ferreting that day - I remember it being a very interesting ferreting trip
  16. Thats lovely Dotty, youve really captured the movement in your painting too! I'm really touched you chose her to paint, you've made my day
  17. I always get my ratting dogs jabbed. As far as I am aware, puppies only carry their mothers immunity for a very short amount of time, in the same way human babies have immunity to certain diseases for a limited time from their mother.
  18. It cost me £20 for two pups to be docked, the vet did a good job, and filled in the paperwork. Not what I would call a lot of money and totally worth it Totally stupid post Its NOT worth the risk. Danny123 try ringing around these vets and see if anyone will do them. http://www.rcvs.org.uk/Templates/system/FA...entsiteid=89624 You will need evidence that your dog will be legally worked in pest control - see below for details. http://www.defra.gov.uk/animalh/welfare/ac...certificate.pdf http://www.defra.gov.uk/animalh/welfare/act/docking.htm http://www.opsi.gov.u
  19. The vet I use allows me to decide on the length - I stay in the room whilst its done just to make sure its exactly how I want it. He's also very reasonable, charges me about the same as my own local vet charges for a consultation. On the downside I have to travel about 25 miles to get it done and apart from the inconvenience, its not ideal for the pups to take them out in the cold, on a long journey and then wait in the vets till its done. It isnt worth the risk of doing it yourself though, as has been said above, your dogs could be taken from you if you don't provide the evidence, apar
  20. I am pleased to say mine dont eat them, though lily was chewing on a few on sunday  hopefully we will soon stop that habit. Lily is 8 months now, and the prognosis was very vague, at first we thought she'd be lucky to see a few weeks, but later on the vet said she might live to a year or two, we will just have to see, every day is precious. She has the constitution of an ox though, so I am sure she will push herself to the limit. At present she is as fit as a lop, you would think she was a normal little pup, never stops running around and doesnt seem to tire, so we will see.
  21. Doesnt matter if its one rat or one hundred, as long as you enjoy it. Theres nothing can beat a bit of ratting. I used to have a russell just like the one with the prick ears in your pics
  22. Someone told me (can't remember who) that maize was an antidote to rat poison, and I have to say the maize game crops down in yorkshire are teaming with rats, so there may be some truth in it There might be more rats there than you realise Ian We only expected half a dozen or so yesterday, so you never know
  23. They just nibble them and drop them Moll. I have seen dogs eat them before, but mine usually dont  Little Lily was interested in them but thats pups for you, she took a lot more interest in todays ratting which I was pleased with - at 10 days old she was dying, I never thought I'd see the day when she was stood with a rat in her mouth
  24. No I dont own one. Floyd is threatening to bring his out next time though
