  9. Rip she was a true country sports ambassador with a great sense of humour sat next to her many years ago at the call over for Waterloo cup she was having a crack with lads I remember she had a massive jumper on which had fox hounds all over it I could nt resist and said to her them hounds must be a fit pack to get up and over them big humps and bumps no malice intended just a bit of crack fair play she laughed and agreed no back doors with her rip Clarissa
  10. Sounds like a cracking litter if I did nt have 2 youngish dogs here at moment would have been keen to buy one like the breeding got 1 here 15 months breeding bit similar 1/2 whippet 3/8 greyhound 1/8 collie showing good potential ferreting / lamping general mooching good early pace enough top end to frighten big rabbits and good wind for the breeding hope they get decent working homes that they deserve atb taffey
  11. Cracking runs there lads top dogs and good footage at taffey
  12. Thx wm if I was looking another terrier would nt hesitate your s are obviously getting worked the right way I got 2 young lurchers on at mo so out with them all the time got mates with good bushing terriers and we get together and have a good hunt with the pack when time allows like you said it's great watching them working together with the lurchers waiting round outside of cover anticipating the bolt atb taffey
  13. Cracking post this like the bushing with a mixed pack done a bit of it over the years with plummers lakies borders and our different breed s of lurchers real good sport and pest control great to watch the different roles each dog has in the pack like watching a small pack of hounds that are tuned in to each others skills the plummers certainly have a great nose on them and are very versatile in the field just put mine to sleep 3 month ago had many years hunting with him and was a joy to work and great to answer atb taffey

  18. Yer could be right bird were I run you don't need the 27 tts models small fields paddocks with some airfields with decent size land to run so 23 /24 tts is plenty been out with young lad who's got a MB bred whippet who's 22/12 tts and he gives a good account of himself for first field or so but struggles a bit on the longer runs which is understandable but great to watch run as he s up and at them for the first minute or 2 but to answer your question if I was only running mr big ears then a small coursing bred would suit me better but I lamp ferret and general mooch with mine so he suits me fi
  19. Yer it's a dog for sure lol I had sire mike brown whippet the dam was a pure bred by Brookie of here and very well bred he not a bad little dog not fastest at them but once wound up he generally gets job done especially if they try the long route use him for ferreting / lamping / bushing as well nice little dog to have about and you can go out and have 5/6 runs so makes it worth going only 30 months yet so early days the pic on here is crap it was the worst pic of about 10 they would nt put the others on there's some better pics on another topic about same dog if ya look through my topics atb
  20. Quality pup that by anyone's standards got 2 youngish dogs on at mo or would have been very tempted hope pup gets hme it deserves with someone who realises what they got on end of slip atb taffey
  21. Tried rivers west smock and like someone said made me sweat like an Iraqi bus driver got ridgeline smock and roar performance pants been out in some awfull rain wind etc and they do keep you dry jacket did sweat me a bit but found the pants to be warm and dry did have a pair of piss thin craghoppers on under them and they were bone dry when took pants off so ridgeline is great kit try optics warehouse think they do a decent deal on jacket and pants atb taffey
