    Most butchers have to pay to get their offcuts took away,ask at your local ones for a bag a week.Ask for meaty bits and not just fat or bones,myself and a couple of mates get all our meat for dogs and ferrets for free each week and i'm talking about 15 odd dogs and 10 ferrets and we don't take the bones or to much fat,we bung the lads a drink evey so often,saves the butchers over £50 a week and is a good deal all round.You cannot feed better than meat no matter the price of dry or by who it's made.

    Small pollock will come up with the tide mate,but really you want a rock mark.As your on the IOM plenty there,you want a mark over some kelp or seaweed and get yourself a no 2 long shanked hook on a 18"trace to a linkswivel and on the link put a 2oz bomb and spin a sandeel bound on with bait elastic over the top of the kelp/weed.A packet of frozen eels in a flask(to keep them frozen)a pocket with spare traces and a few weights(i did loads of this type of fishing)i used to use spark plugs a garage used to save for me to save on lost weights and just ramble over the rocks mate.

    I'm Steve live in Norfolk(but am moving to Wales asap)live with my girlfriend and her 2 kids and have a nipper due in january,i have 5 ferrets(6 here but ones a squatter),2 plummer terriers and a hancock lurcher(so i can take a joke lol).I have also spanish game birds and a few doves,i'm 42 years old and had left home when i was a teenager although i do wish like others i still lived with my mummy kins so she could keep them teaser's away from me. . Smashy whats your rabbit called? it'll be lucky? or times running out?.

    Have to agree with one thats keen to get to ground and follows the rabbit up then goes back for more,i have a jill thats turning into a dam good worker she really sticks to her task and doesn't give up when working a larger warren on her own.I try to get all my ferrets out but it's hard when you have some you know are better than others and it's time to leave the good ones behind.

    The other day it was blowing a gale all day got the kit together and went out to a totaly still night,we caught the rabbits in the first 2 fields and then he carried them for the rest of the night.We saw roe,hare and charlie that night but due to it being so still they heard us coming across the stubble or they wouldn't come in on the squeek,just to look at them you know .

    Not going to get rowing mate and yes i have met travellers that have done ALL the above,what i ment was that most if not all travellers earn their money from work done for gorgies and the tax payer(mostly gorgies)pay the bill for clearing up after travellers but thats not a topic for this site.Your people have a great history mate and one that needs protecting but as things go most gorgies don't trust you and as a race you don't do a lot to promote a more possitive attitude towards your people.Again mate don't think i'm poping at you i just think with your history and culture you would want a

    My misses lets me do pretty much as i want,i've chooks,ferret court and dove shed in the garden and can go out with the dogs whenever i can(as long as she ain't using the van).We should be moving soonish and has said as many dogs as you want there as long as they live outside(we have 5 inside with us),bloody good un i've got and she can cook and clean and is a saucy little thing as well, :friends: .

    I had to get a transit mini bus with the back few seats took out(7 seater) so all the dogs and kids can fit in(5 dogs ,4 kids),estate car wasn't big enough and not enough seats.
