    Wasnt going to put this on here as it was an embarrasement,but................ .Last early summer ,i was stalking alongside the edge of a rape field,looking for a buck, when i saw a roe doe on top of a bank ,looking down at me .She barked and i expected her to move off but to my surprise she came down towards me gathering speed as she came .I still thought nothing of it and moved forward a couple of steps to allow her to pass by me but not so .She changed course and headed straight for me ,by now only a couple of yards away .I was caught off balance and she ploughed into my side at full spe

    A story i heard recently involved a similar lurcher ,stolen by 'travellers 'seen in the act .The dog reappeared 2 months later in a bad state.The travellers took her to a police station and collected the £700 pound reward so be careful .The police wouldnt enter a nearby camp "for fear of upsetting delicate relationships ".

    From experience ................ Getting stopped in a motor by the old bill can play out 2 ways . If you are stopped for no other reason than suspected criminal envolvement and your motor is up to date and road worthy then ................ The officer DOES NOT HAVE THE POWER TO SEARCH YOUR VEHICLE WITHOUT FIRST GIVING YOU A VALID REASON WHY .If they cannot or will not give you a reason then ask to see a badge number and say you will take it further .Usually enough to shut up the most most anti copper .     A Look out before work at a spot which holds day in day out ,didnt let me down with these two in tight to the hedge i was stalking down .The flick of an ear was enough to give them away at a good 150 yards .Set the lower bipod arms up and steadied the breathing for a head shot on the first .At the shot it lurched forward and the other got up .A head shot was out the question as it was above the far bank line but a chest shot was on and i took it .A long drag to the truck after the gralloch set me up for a days concreting.

As an educated man myself ,i am very sceptical of what others would have me believe unless i see it for myself or inconclusive proof ,of which neither has come my way ,despite local sightings around a country pub Ive been to sheep kills ,tracks and tree scrapings and not one is the work of a cat of any description .Ive seen some large FERAL AND FARM CATS ,ALL BLACK ,which is what could be mistaken for pumas etc, i believe .

    .....................Dont take the scent .Listen mate a cat stinks to a dog .My dogs can trail a feral cat for as long as i require them to so there is no worries there ..Hounds are kept to fox by the hunt staff ,they dont willingly follow only charlie .Youve only got to watch them riot on deer to know that .No ,definately not any big cats in this country .Another thing ,if there were these "cats" then why wont the police grant at least one person in the area of a sighting ,the variation to shoot the bugger .They wont entertain anything of the sort .

    As a fervant "non believer " in this cat thing ,i will tell you why there is no such thing roaming our England .Every single county in this country has a fox pack of some discription that would of by now ,roused a cat from its daytime slumber and pushed it for all the field and followers to see or treed it for at least photos and a glass of port !.I fully understand that foxhounds arnt there to hunt cats but what cat ,or anything else would stay in cover and face 30 hounds.Imagine the public support hunting would get if it proved without dispute that a cat had been seen or treed and the author
