    Havn't done much yet as most of ours will start when the pheasant season ends and we have the run of 2 large estates .Good pics there mate and cracking type of terrier too .Nice .

    Mate of mine regularly does 100 yard plus head shots with sub sonic .22 so 140-200 with the 17 does not suprise me at all .Well down anyway .

    Went out with josh off the site for a good walk around one of my permissions with the lamp.Walked the opposite way to that which i do normally .Saw plenty of deer but not a sign of a fox ,until that is ,we got to the pylon field .Josh spots a pair of eyes just the other side of the pylon itself and i squeaked .It mearly looked up from what it was doing and carried on .We were about 200 yards so i decided to get closer .Charlie had other ideas and picked up what he was eating and stroled along the hedge ,right handed .We were now a bit closer so down in the prone position.     Im not pretending to be better or as good as the next man but being a builder ,i know the construction of 9" hollow pot walls .If the rats are living in them ,then its simplicity itself to bolt rats from them for waiting terriers.Just simply tip a bucket of water in each pot and wait for them to bolt .In the past we have rigged up places like this with sliding doors etc so that all exits are blocked before we enter a building .Dont overlook the terrier as a means mate and it intails no great financial outlay .

    Right then mate - Muntjac will have a print of roughly 1 inch by 1 inch and pointed .That is to say an inch across the toes and an inch to the back .Very often over trodden by the back foot as they are same tread walkers . Roe are roughly 1 1/2inch by the same and narrow . Fallow are a bit bigger than sheep at about 3 inches long and 2 1/2 wide ,point to point . These will vary slightly according to the ground conditions ,with wet mud showing the rear hock of an animal .I will try to get all 3 in pic form if time allows .

    WTF.Your half breed might be a world beater mate but i wouldnt give you tuppence for any offspring ,no matter what you put it to .One offs are usually just that .If i cannot trace back 3 generations of good ,honest workers then i dont want it .Nothing stopping joe public getting a terrier from non workers ,and theres plenty about , as long as its not used to further dilute the blood of honest lines .If you stick at the digging mate and want honest workers you can rely on ,you will realize the truth of what im saying OR you will always be a messer , hoping for a worker from this and that mating

    Mange does not kill foxes ,its the secondary internal blood poisoning that sees them off from the scratching, and not the initial mange .Ive recently found 2, one of which the dogs finished off whilst on exercise ,the other dead on some tarmac .I use' advocate 'all year round and not had problems with mange since using it .

    The does seem to be increasing in body weight to previous years .Round my way anyhow .Dont get many under 40lb .Last years average was 36lb .Well done Ian and get it off to the game dealer .Trips back and fourth seem to be my life at the moment .
