Nice going Vim.Knowing the ground ,the deers reaction to different situations is what seperates the doers from the wishers .Many munties round you or are they pretty hit and miss ,scattered ?.
Down Martins first light today .Went to a place of his that is in my opinion hard stalking .Large open areas with a continuous swirling wind .The fog was threatening so we had no time to play the wind as it was where we were so we moved slowly through the fields glassing as best we could in the swirling mist .Didnt get far when the familiar click of hocks told me we had bumped deer the other side of the hedge in a rape fied .They had been sat against the hedge as i thought they would be in this weather but wrong sided to us .Got on sticks as they pranced away ,three white asses, three does.No s
Out very early this morning to make the most of the weather and what a morning it was .Couldnt wait for dawn to arrive so went to a spot that is plagued with foxes at the moment and with lambing around the corner ,i need to get a few dead .Just out the other side of the farm yard ,i spotted charlie in amongst the sheep but not phased by the green filter at all .On sticks ,i called him to within 50 yards ,just clear of the sheep that were bunching by now and shot him in the chest .Ive pretty good at holing the lamp whilst shooting instead of a scope mounted affair which is too heavy i find .Jus

Shot this doe in the week from a place that i love to stalk .The deer are very predictable with wind and weather and the day in question was no different .Stalked into a stiff ,cold wind and found this doe bedded against a hedge enjoying the winter sun .Got into a shooting position and knocked her over with a neck shot at about 70 yards approx without her knowing a thing about it .Very large doe .Onwards and towards the quarry here where the deer hang out as well .No exception today either and i glassed a shed buck on his back legs reaching for berries it looked like .Something else caught my

Dont wish to sound condescending but i know what to do just the url's have changed for the uploads in image shack and ive yet to find the right one for this forum .
Fed with trying to upload a decent pic so this thumbnail will have to do .Shot this large doe along with another last week but been unable to put pics on since they changed image shack ,why! She went 44lb clean in the larder .had another at a good range of 214 m.Also shot a fox asleep outside an earth in the sun .
