  1. King Kurt ,now theres a memory ,pile driver boogy .Used to be a girl with them that did all comers on stage, dirty slag .Saw the cramps at the Colston hall when Lux interior, lead singer, swallowed the mic and was stretchered out .That wrecking was mad mind ,Shirtless ,combats and boots up to my knees ,sweat and beer flying .Followed the meteors wherever they went ,mainly Bristol Beer Kellor as they were all Bristol lads .4 skins gigs were the ones to go for a fight ,always a fight .
  2. If the man is genuinely breeding good stock then he will rarely lead you astray as your future is his future too in a round about way .Just would be nice to hear about more more lads asking for breeding advice rather than going it alone on a tangeant that goes nowhere .Getting older you realise that these things are what is important rather than the strong head of "i know better".I know of a couple of lads ,well three if im included that wont have a pup back if the breeding wasnt discussed and for good reason .
  3. Must be some of you out there that were skinheads or billies.Did you ever get down to Weston Super Mare in the early eighties..4skins ,meteors and the cramps .Wrecking ,beer keller ,fighting and taking the piss .Good times if a little rough .Needs a movement now if you know what i mean . Fed up with all the mambi pambi do gooders .
  4. Just to clarify a point mate ,the buying ,selling of a pup dosnt come into the values im talking about so dosnt apply . The old value i speak of as that of wanting to ask his opinion not of being required to .Lines of workers are not by chance ,they are created by a long term commitment and plans adhered to when the result is good .His opinion counts for more than your guess work every time .
  5. Thats what im talking about dee mac .Most line breeders will have a dog lined up in the back of their minds to suit any given generation and its that knowledge that needs to be retained .ignore at your peril .
  6. Was chatting to a mate today and one of the things that came up was something i take for granted but which he says is dying fast .That is the practice of asking an owner of a line of terriers what he recommends you should put over a bitch you have off him .Im not talking about the one time breeder of a chance mating but someone who is respected in their production of worker after worker from a true line .Its my opinion that this practice is what keeps the lines alive and virulent and protects the working values .Offering a pup back too on first refusal is important as well .Your views please.
  7. My post refers to you mate .The only grey areas are when the torch is fading .Just get out and dig fella.
  8. Get one mate ,use it for rats and rabbits but do us all a favour and never mention it in the same sentence as a worker and please dont breed from it ,too many dogs bred off shite and sold as digging stock as it is without adding to them .No well bred working terrier needs a website to promote what it does .
  9. Ffs.the law is there in black and white and the twat still wants answers .Could do without the likes of him me thinks ,fecking coppers nark .
  10. I can understand lads in areas of fox shortages letting them run but personally think its pointless to dig and release in an area wheres theres a few about .Why?
  11. If you want help mate then just say ,dont be shy .
  12. Very nice clear pics mate ,cracking stills of what are for us exotics .Thanks for sharing mate .
  13. Whats the fascination with the red bitch though mate.I totally understand about keepng the red thing going but needs must and all that .
  14. Two answers here that hit the nail squarely on the head although the other way round
  15. just a guess but maybe a John Parks terrier
  16. I suppose you led back after this thinking to yourself "that f*****g told him ". You decided to chip in to this post by championing the plummer terrier as an all round worker .To date you have provided not a scrap of evidence to back up your arguement other than a russel that may or may not have a bit in it . I am not disputing the merits of any other type for earth work but what i have seen of the plummer terrier when asked to enter an earth is decidedly comical to say the least .I am open to be taught other wise and fireman is more than welcome to come down whenever he likes as are you bu
  17. Not a lot more to add to this really ,just a big shame there is this divide in whats more important ,money or dogs.Personally i dont think anyone who hasnt earned the right to own a decent dog should have one IMO.Probably rues out 2/3 of this forum mind what from what ive read .
  18. Does look a decent dig lads ,fair play to your mates for turning up pronto .
  19. The thought of working terriers and money dosnt sit well with many lads and i have to agree its not the way i do things.Spending money on a brood bitch or stud will mean you will want to recoup a bit when selling surplus and so it goes on .
  20. Do you gift out Plummer pups bred from working parents to lads willing to run them on for work? Another can of worms squirming and ready to be opened .lol.
