    Ive seen the most dramatic weight loss this rut too with some very spent bucks seen and shot.Been a very interesting rut here thats for sure .

    Nice one JD .Nope that dosnt happen here mate .The rut is still on here too .Stopped and watched a good buck mount a young doe in the middle of a corn field today at 10 am in the rain .Would you say the rings are a precurser to the buck running a doe about the fields or do they mate on or around the ring (dirty minds lol). Ive seen more of the rut this year than any other i think due to an early start which i picked up on .Not had a buck charge in to the call but called several none the less.Still looking for that monster buck to get set up but still time though .Fallow and Sika rut next ,s

    Theyve learnt not to hang about in any one spot for too long lol.Are you saying in all the years of being out there youve rarely seen any courtship mate .Weve recently videoed a chase ,mating scene where the buck actually herds the doe to where he wants her .Trying my hardest to get it off the cam cord but says http is corrupt .Be shame to lose it as its fascinating .

    Are we using fitness as an excuse for not wanting it .A terrier dosnt have to be ripped to do a days graft just fit and healthy and of the right frame of mind .Anything other than regular excercise is a bit ott and needless but each to their own .

    Not part of courtship here mate ,trust me .Never seen a doe keep to any route.I fully understand the courtship ritual having watched it hundreds of times .The doe in oestrus encourages the buck to chase and its his stamina that eventaully allows him to mate ,an act ive seen loads of times too .Roe rings are the exception to the rule in my experience but may be the norm around you .Like to see them on a trail cam though .

    I think most are missing the point here .The OP asks about camera detectors not what to do if you find one .The antis disguise them very well for those not familiar ,it is these that need detecting and destroying .Most hunts have their own detectors but they are available to us on the web if you look .Hollow logs are used to hide cameras as well as them wrapped in ivy etc .Our local hunt found one disguised as a fence post with an ir detector as well as a disgarded can .

    Guiness shandy cant be called drinking surely .Anyone think you boys invented the game lol.The ONLY hangover cure that works for me is water .Alcohol steadily drains the water from body cells apparently so need to rehydrate .2 pints before bed and again on waking .Sleep on her side though as youll probably piss the bed.

    Not only does a walk stimulate the dogs but the owner too as well as helping to keep yourself in shape as come the season the graft wont dig itself .No amount of excercise however can prepare you or the dog for digging .Takes a few weeks for dogs to harden and man to get back dig fit .At my age anyway lol.

    If i have a litter I will gladly gift you one bud dog or bitch and you can try it out and see if its to your liking all i will say if you have to put time in to them as they will hunt up father than your average terrier and extremely vocal but with time and training you can get them to stay close to you ,There will be no difference in earth work as i have said before its there nose on top that is the biggest difference i have seen ,also they need no encourage meant to enter to anything holding back is more like it . in that case mate pm me when the time comes and we can do a swap pup.

    Memourable trip mate indeed .The buck near the seat ,i called back from 100yds off permission ,right in to about 15 yds ,very exciting stuff as being so close i could only call when he was behind trees.Rut was bang on ,bucks were switched on and i was on fire .Stag was a first for me ,although ive had hinds and prickets .I missed the first stag off sticks through a bit of wobble but pulled myself together for the second .7 stags infront me at only 50 yds has that effect lol.What Matt ommited in the short version was that the big roe i had took a lot of coaxing with the call to come our side th

    What matters is someone and his dogs mascarading as something they are not ,whether they are red ,white, black or tan . ive no problem with anyone bushing or digging the odd time as long as that person knows and is up front about the fact and dosnt think for a minute he has the real deal .If these terriers are all that why arnt there more here as lads are always striving for the best .The internet has opened up the world for everyone to seek what they want and obtain the best of it so why arnt we all digging to a jagd.Take a look at websites selling any terriers these days and try pick a work
