    What more has a terrier got to do than be boringly consistent though mate.There is no more higher acolaide for a terrier than to stay week in week out .I dont read much more into it than that ,as that there is the ultimate ,for me anyway .

    I rated the Fly dog highly too as a worker and a producer of workers .Fly was out of Razor x Cassy ,two more that lived for the game back in their day.A bitch called Fern had a promising start then contracted what the vet said was soil born tb that caused an ulcer type sore on her head ,stopping her from working for 2 seasons then £2000 later she jacked ,no rhyme to that one .Nowadays i take it for granted really that a pup will go on to work and there have been many greats in the last 10 years Vicky ,Bracken,Grim,Hazel,Cary,Woody and Blade to name a few .Thinking back its been a great life r

    Best terrier I've ever bred was a bitch I called Willow.It wasn't just the one thing that gave her the title but all of it rolled into 15 lb of perfection .Some found her boring ,like clockwork but l loved her .She never stood for a dog at all and had to be put down because of a trapped nerve in her back that paralised her .Very sad day that.

    Or we can all face the fact there are people out there who would do this .They bear no ressemblance to real dogmen and probably stole the dog in the first place .Word will get round the area and no-one will have anything to do with them .If they were seen then 5-0 is on the case already im guessing .Rose tinted glasses wont cover the fact criminals steal/keep dogs too .

    Facts lads please ,lets not let the truth get in the way of a good story .You cannot get your collar felt for walking over a sette with dogs ,in fact the accidental act of a terrier entering a sette is not unlawful either as it happens but digging into a tube to retrieve it is plus the act of disturbing a badger .The wording of the badger act states it is an offence to interferre with the sette .This concerns the sette within and not surround and applies as stated to anywhere a badger resides .There are guidelines from defra as to how far anyone can work around it including driving posts in

    Barrie mate ,ive had dealings with their insurance people and was left very disheartened ,nay very pissed off actually at their reluctance to back up a lad doing legit terrierwork who finds himself in need of advice .I stand by the fact that real terrierwork is not covered by the policy but would love to hear from anyone whos been treated well .A man can only honestly comment on whats been put infront of him at any one time in life ,not hearsay ,not money talking just facts .     To those that appear to champion the organisation ,i would ask only this ,why is there no insurance attached to our pastime but anything else is covered .It grates me that i cant work a dog legally with insurance attached but i can go out with a centre fire and know i have 10 mil backup to an extent .My own thinking is that we are an embarrasment at best and at worst something they want distance from .This pisses me off .     You must have seen a different side to them then mate .Ive no problem with the class distinction they make ,and its there but i have a problem with being looked down on because i work terriers as thats definately there too.We are one of only a few country pursuits where insurance is nul and void if you partake .Ill stick up for anybodies freedom but would be nice to see the bodies we pay into, actually championing our pastime.

    All true mate ,sadly.They shafted us hoping to preserve mounted hunting but we all know how that went .I was approached by an Allience minion at a game fair the year after the ban and i can honestly say i gave the bloke both barrels .His only defence was we are not a high profile sport ,nob .

    If there dog is shaking its head a lot you need to look in the ear for mites just visable to our eyes .Probably a burst vessel in the ear of which there are many .So it from the bottom so it keeps draining as treat any ear problems accordingly

    My take on it is this .You have to approach a suspected camera to trigger the ir .The detector i have access to will only pick up ir and not a dormant camera .The screen will show you where the ir originated from so its up to you to find the camera .They will be positioned with a good veiw of any earths so think where you would put one .On finding it you need to get into it and take out the memory card before anything else .More than one lad has been found with camera intact that then becomes an embarrassment should you be in the wrong place .Cut any locks off ,open the back and card is in a s
