    The prints were from an otter I’d seen the night before,big one too .Just had to go back and track it as far as possible but lost it in a field . Id of questioned it as well greyman ,lol ,You know I would.

    Shot a prime winter pelt the other day and thought what a waste it was to incinerate it .Might think about case skinning a few and sticking them on EBay ,£100 a pop .If bits of antler sell then surely there’s a market for preserved skins .

    Known a few lads that were in the Marlborough Downs rabbit clearance society in Wiltshire .You may of heard of a few of the older lads . Gussy ,Danker ,Millsey to name a few .Gassing was the thing but the lads preferred ferreting to sell them .I did a year before it folded about 1990 .Gussy was well known for selling ferrets ,any amount ,any size ,any colour . Bolted a fox myself years ago when I was a young un ,that took the net with it into a badger sett .Right pissed off I was lol.

    Self entering is the mark of well bred stock ,any encouraging or words not needed .A good stockman knows when to let a dog self enter ,not overmatch it .Entering of any sort that dosnt include quietly walking to a spot and letting the youngster find its own hole and slip in is the mark of a messer IMO

    Hi lads . I was wondering if anyone knows the whereabouts of a dog called skunk .Hes 4 1/2 years old was bred by me and last known address was in Bristol .Hes a decent size ,rough coated black and done a bit of work .Lost contact with the lad ,J .Tailor .May of been passed on .Just interested as where he is and how his career is going . I have a pic but to be honest it’s shit ,only showing his head as it’s a pic of a pic in an album and bad reflection . Dog was 18 months when I gave him away . Skunk in background

    As long as you have instilled basic obedience the hunting will come naturally mate .Get yourself permission ,a lamp and do your own thing .Not many on here seem to do much preferring to spend time writing shite than doing it .

    As Comanche said ,if you are skinning and breaking down game ,some form of premises are needed and have to be inspected by local council .The license to sell to a third party be it next door or the 5 star restaurant in town is free on applying but give them too much information and they will be around to check exactly what you are doing . To supply in fur ,feathered game to a dealer or joe public they weren’t interested and issued the license no follow up .Incidentally it’s not a physical license but rather a log that should you be pulled on it ,they are aware you are trading as such .

    The only law that is in place is in regards the meat and small game hygiene certificate which is enforceable by law .You are supposed to be able to supply a hunter ID number obtained from this course . Also the law has changed on dumping animal waste ie skins legs and head and has to ,by law ,be incinerated at hunters cost or at a farm where they have facilities for such . Its about clamping down on badly produced meat for human consumption . This post does not insinuate anything ,just stating the law as it stands . Any outlet taking game from you that does not ask for you
