  1. Chuck your caller thingy in the ditch mate and learn how to call proper .Them things for messers and yanks ??????????
  2. Any wood needs seasoning before working for at least a year .Hawthorn very hard wood to work with but but very satisfying when done and hard wearing .Old boy near us twists it around a bar when young to get some real quirky sticks and handles from .Same with holly .
  3. While back I was stood back against a hedge calling a fox from way out and another ran out the hedge right by me ,no more than 3 yards away .I saw it in the dark it was that close .He only got 50 yards mind and stopped him with a whistle to join the rest on Boot Hill .Most of these foxes are from a chicken farm ,well 3 different farms same owner .Few from places where birds are put down as well .Shooting them on permission where they ain’t doing any harm seems senseless to me but just my take .
  4. I know mate but they are a wealthy pack .One bit further that feeds raw ,ill ask the question mate .
  5. My local hunt feeds dry mate ,yes dry ,can’t understand it .The next pack over is too posh to collect so bollocks to them bud .
  6. Tbh honest I’ve never found them to ignore a well made prey call in the rut mate .Called plenty even with a vixen screaming next field .
  7. When I shoot they are bud .Dont know what’s occurring on the vid .
  8. The two I’ve tried both died mate so respect to you bud . What formula did you use ,we tried kitten off the shelf both times as recommended but no use .Both just faded .
  9. It does look like she is sky lined but there’s a dip in the field behind her and another bank same as she’s sat on . The calling has been manic here and will only get better as the colder nights come on .We had a decent sharp frost this morning ,full moon last night and tonight but I’m going out regardless .
  10. Remember stalking all day ,lamping all night for a week mate ? Couldnt do that now your right but going to give it a go this year with the numbers about .Badger cull has almost wiped out old stripey so next years foxing should be as manic as this year .
  11. As many as the body will let me mate .If I’m grafting hard then 2 nights is plenty , if work is slow it’s every other night .
  12. Any contacts in England anyone .
  13. Can’t help it Mark ,on a roll mate .Need 24 more before January to beat a PB of 149 few years ago .They are about but tbh I’m knackered of late .
  14. Where you based mate , can’t shift deer at moment
  15. Even on here lads ? Wtf is ears on about .Toffee nosed arse bandit .
  16. Should of called it rivers of curry as blood ain’t never gonna happen .
  17. Greyman ...We’ve done all the insults and I hope there’s no hard feelings .This enforced period off has made me realise life is too short for shit like that . From now on its pure discussion which I hope you’ll reciprocate . The scrapes you have photographed are roe scrapes used by bucks in spring and the rut and again by does in the autumn and winter .The claw marks you refer to are front hoof scrapes ,nothing more ,seen them many ,many times .Muntjac do same only on a smaller scale .Hope this helps .There is a roe slot centre frame ,middle pic .They are used to scent mark ,territo
