Likes been said ,there is a jacket yet made that copes with British weather .Rain ,sun and wind all in one day and physical activity on top .Better to carry top coat until needed I find as sweat is easily trapped with even the best breatheable gear .Had smocks but too heavy for walking far so now use couple layers of hoody style cotton tops that dry fast if gotten wet .On a quad whole different ball game though and a smock is almost a necessity I’ve found .Deer hunter do some decent trouser to go with smock and make you look like you know what your doing ?

Our local abattoir used to sell all byproducts to whoever wanted them .Just call out at the back door and someone came to sort it .Heads ,tripe ,legs and red offal . Used to be a few quid for as much as you wanted .New laws, everything’s sprayed purple and in the bin out front ,stinking . Same abattoir now under daily protest from bunch of grass eating hippies ,blocking trucks getting in . Dad used to feed chucks on food waste from the kitchens at the school he worked at as grounds man and old veg from a shop in town .That came to an end when red bins came in . Women arreste

The pump itself is fully moulded water proof mate so your only concern is a current surge your supply end .Stick a 13 amp plug on it and plug into a socket as normal.Stick a breaker on it if it makes you sleep better . Hard wiring anything is to provide tamper proof installation ,nothing more . Sparky will charge you 40-50 quid for a 5 minute job to change a socket face and wire your cable in hard wired whereas a fiver buys you a plug to do same .Plus any work on the pump ie cleaning you take plug out rather than turning off whole circuit .

Forget calls altogether and use palm of hand mate .Can vary it to suit any situation .?
