  1. Well done Sean.......a verdict for common sense at last. As someone who has had professional experience in the past of working with people suffering from depression i know all about the varying degrees of its severity. Good luck....and enjoy your new found pastime. Regards Rolfe
  2. Just another piece of useful advice (or not) to share with you fellow trappers. If when transporting your Mk 6 Fenns in the trapping bag........it pays to have them pre-set on the safety catch. This helps in two ways: Firstly, you can get many more in the bag because they take up less room. Secondly, It saves an awful lot of time when setting the traps and it is a godsend in the winter when you have cold, wet, and muddy fingers to contend with.......anything to make life easy eh! Regards Rolfe

  4. Bit late really to be using the Larsen.......earlier in the spring is best.......but they will catch all year round. If you make a couple of false "Nests" and use broken and intact eggs you should soon entice a bird into it. It may want moving to a different location also..............as this can often result in a quick catch. I had a customer of mine ring me today to tell me what he had witnessed.........A female magpie with two youngsters of the year in tow...........keeping them OFF of the larsen trap to prevent them getting caught.........he said she was flying at them every time they tri

  16. Just removed this wasp nest from a ladies hedge.......and noticed the wasps were about double the size of our normal (German) wasps.........Does anyone know if these are the larger "European" species we hear so much about.....they certainly are darker and much larger than what i normally get called to deal with. And before anyone says it...they were definately NOT hornets....... Note the sting on that bugger Regards Rolfe.

  25. I use a Theoben Scirroco 1.77 for all my pest control work where anything bigger wouldn't do. I use it to cull feral pigeons, rabbits etc. and for dispatching small cage trapped animals. So it's the 1.77 for me every time. Rolfe.
