i dont believe that good dogs dont get sold because in the coursing world all the top class dogs seem to have prices and are often sold for thousands of pounds, what i do believe though is that good dogs should'nt take no advertising in most cases but not all cases, because theres always gonna be someone with a genuine reason for selling or giving a dog away even, some people would rather sell a dog thinking that if someone is willing to pay good money for a dog then they will be prepared to look after it properly and invest money into it if need be, not always the case i know, but i can see w

it sounds to me like the dog does'nt know what to make of foxes yet, or he just simply can't catch one, theres far more dogs capable of killing foxes than there is capable of catching and killing them. i dont think the dog is at the stage where he is scared of foxes if he is snapping at them, providing he has never caught one yet, so he should'nt have been bit or spoiled either. its far easier to enter a dog to foxes when there working along side an experienced dog but if thats not possible, wait until september and get him on some cubs and plenty of, just to build his confidence.

it all depends on the dog (or bitch) you can always tell when there ready i've had them killing single handed at 9 month but this is very rare and i knew what these pups were capable of before they were born. ideally i would let them run with an experienced dog that can take the sting out of a fox before the pup makes contact, and i would continue this way for most of the pups first season. this is all pre ban advice offcourse

i had the dog to the vets a few week back because everytime i dug to him his jaw seemed to lock up the next day and he could'nt eat properly for a few days afterwards. anyway the vets said it was because he had developed an absess and put him on a weeks course of tablets, then i took him back and he seemed fine and the vets confirmed this. but he's been the exact same after every dig since, we had a dig to him today and he was locked onto his quarry when we broke through and all seemed fine but when i got home he could'nt eat properly again, so i got the missus to hold him while i opened his
