  9. Forgive my ignorance but how do you "shoot it in"? Is it just a case of getting some rounds through the weapon before it is used in anger or is there more to it.   10. If both are uniform, do as other have recommended - try a different brand of 22. Whilst some are suggesting Eley - thats fine but do try say just 50 Winchester - I find them the most accurate having tried the rest and probably shoot >3000 each year and am still waiting for my 1st mis fire Peter il second that i use winchester subs and never had a misfire yet arcpest

My licence reads like this "The .410 shot pistol shall be used for vermin control on land deemed suitable by the Chief Officer of Police for the area where the land is situated and over which the holder has lawful authority to shoot" I'm not sure what the minimum length of barrel I can have is but I know there are quite a lot of longer pistols on the market that I can legally have 'sawn off' I've just been out and checked the mail box and found the new copy of EDRD and my shotgun and firearms certificate too, it's finally here in my hands at last I completed and posted off the forms on

  14. Hi i use winchester subs in mine and all it needs from time to time is a spray of wd on the slider track all sorted again as for after market parts i have is an auto bolt release and an extended mag release arcpest

Hi SS with your centrefire and .17HMR you will have no problem getting a variation to add a .22LR & Mod its only 2 extra slots if i were you i would go for it were i shoot the .22LR with Mod is a god send as we are close to the farm house and a pack of hounds so it saves upsetting them arcpest

  17. Hi DS A few years ago while lamping rabbits we had a set of eyes vertualy the same as bunnies as we got closer low and behold it took off it was a small owl 6 to 8 inches tall so in this case the eyes do stand out arcpest

Hi SS When i spoke to my Firearms Officer as i am self employed pest controler he understood that .223 was to much power in certain situations and he was saying that one county cant remember which one authorises .17HMR for fox shooting so he said iof i insisted on the .22WMR he couldnt refuse it. I would prefer to use .223 but it is not always safe to do so which is why i went for the .22WMR arcpest

  23. What a blinding bit of luck that you showed up right then, eh? That ewe must've thought her own personal guardian angel had appeared! Spoke to the owner and this particular fox has had the head of one lamb already and keeps taunting him when he goes and checks his sheep late at night he takes his shot gun and shines the lamp on him the fox just stairs at him and stays out of range so he was chuffed to bits to see the dead fox this morning and informed me his wife has given my card to the stables to sort there moles out and he said he will give me and my shooting buddy some lamb at
