Hi all my new Tikka T3 varmint s/s .223 came today It has .223 8" on the barrel I presume the 8" is referring to 1-8 twist can anyone confirm this and from what i have read This is better for heavier bullets arcpest

Well, I am looking at Tikka myself to replace my Sako, but it'll be 223 not 22-250. My Sako would do you nicely, in all seriousness! 5-shot detachable mag, a year old, in good nick, shoots very straight. My part ex value has been pretty naff so you will get a good price that's not too far away from a Tikka, depending on where you go.. snap i have ordered a Tikka T3 varmint s/s .223 what would you recomend as a zero range? arcpest

I'm Secretary of a club at Bisley so I shoot there a lot, and my .223 is a Tikka T3 Lite. 600 yards is about all the way for the .223, although I do know a few people who use it quite regularly at 600. I was happy enough when I got the first one on the "board" at 600, it is a f*****g long way, and was just having a bit of fun, I usually target with it at 200 and sometimes 300 and rarely push it past 200 hunting! Hi i shot down there with headley park at 200 with my cz.223 hated it trigger was heavy so i decided to chop it against a Tikka T3 s/s varmint so for target it should be 1

There is no answer as this is such a personal thing...I know one guy who insists on using 24X on his 12ft lb Air rifle to shoot rabbits at 20 yards!!! I think that's :crazy: but he likes it!! I agree it does seem like to much for close range bunnies when i had my fac Rapid 7 i only had a 3x9x56 and that was good to 60 yards+ thanks for the input how did you get on at Bisley? arcpest

Hi all i am getting a Tikka T3 in .223 next month and was wondering what magnification scopes you guys use for your long range shots i will be useing mine for targets aswell as for foxes max distance at range will be 600m and for foxes around 150-300 thanks arcpest

Hi also dont forget to ask for moderators on each rifle on your first aplication even the fac air rifle will need a slot of its own for the moderator even if it comes as standard i had this on my fac Rapid 7 i had to loose one of my slots for .22 rimfire or pay for a variation so make sure you mention the moderators for each rifle when you talk to your FAO arcpest

Hi all i have had a 10-22 for 3 years now i shoot at headley park as well as useing it for bunnies the only time i get any jams is when i dont clean it, saying that i can go down the club and fire 400 rounds through it with no jams at all when it does jam all it needs is a spray with wd wipe the crap off and any excess wd and shes ready to go again, i like it for rabbits as your second shot for the next bunnie is just a pull of the trigger away i had a sako finfire varmint excelent gun but i found it a bit heavy does any one have any spec on a CZ 452 s/s varmint? arcpest

Hi all i have a BRNO ZKK 601 in .223 i bought it last year because firearms said if i didnt have one they could take it away on my renewall, i have used it a couple of times and was wondering if anyone knows anything about my ZKK 601 also my trigger is heavy and can i do anything myself to rectify this? thanks arcpest
