    Bought some ELEY subs yesterday and went down the range i had eleys, winchester, remington subs and some american eagle hollow points the eleys were the more accurate with winchester in 2nd place and although the american eagle were quiet accurate they were 2 inches high at 50m after about 300 rounds the gun seems to have settled abit because towards the end none of the winchesters were sticking it was ejecting every thing so im assuming it was just because it was new. as for ammo although the eleys are more money i think thne extra is worth it so i will be sticking with them from no

    Just loaded 5 rounds and it wont eject live rounds but they are easy to get out with a finger nail so not to worried about it looked at the heads and there is barely a mark on them arcpest

    Thanks for that chap ill pick some up and try them. Mine is not ejecting fired rounds iv not tried to eject a live round yet arcpest

    I thought it was the ammo thats why i switched and had same result as you the win subs must be cheap crapy brass i will get some other subs and see how they go arcpest

    Hi all picked my Sako Quad up in .22LR today scope on zeroed ok but i found some of the winchester subs were not ejecting so i put 40 cheap Gecho rounds down it no probs at all so im guessing its the winchester subs that are the problem Has any one else found this? any ideas chaps Thanks arcpest

    got mine off another forum. they can be found occassionally on e b a y for a good price. i wouldnt go over 100 pound though 2nd hand. worth their weight in gold. rich I will keep my eyes open cheers chap arcpest

    Good shooting chap nice group I zero my .22lr at 50m on the range which gives me a reasonable flat trajectory from 25m - 75m which suites my shooting style and land its all to do with how confident you are with longer shots if you zero to an average of the ranges your shooting you will soon know your gun and ranges you shoot inside out and easy nothing beats practice chap arcpest

    nice bit of shooting there mate makes you feel even better when your tactics give you results well done. Thanks it is good when things work out, there are at least another 2 we saw tonight so a few more visits with hide in differnt places should sort them out too arcpest

    We were out tonight after foxy with rimfire and shotty at one of our shoots as they lost all there chickens a couple of months ago, We have been there several times to set up a hide and every time foxy has been in the field when we have arrived so tonight we were an hour early so we set the hide round one of the silage bails so were set and waiting watching a couple of sparrow hawks working the field they were getting really close and we could see the feet primed and ready to pounce, Then we saw two foxes at the top of the field mooching about in the grass we had been there just over an hour

    I must have left about 30 rabbits for charlie , and when Id checked the whole lot had gone. Obviuosly a litter close by !! Thats alot of bunnies chap i bet you will get all of them if you keep baiting i might try leaving more when i bait next time arcpest
