FERRET WALLET PHONE CASE RECEIVED (PICTURES)
Rabbit Hunter replied to carol94's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
Is it not supposed to say 'Who else can i trust'? -
Thanks Glyn.
-
Nice pics Glyn, anymore info? Their names, how they were bred etc. Be nice to read something worthwhile on here for a change.

Great home made fly traps.
Rabbit Hunter replied to mark williams's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
Just a thought, but does the trap not attract a lot more flies to your garden than would initially be there anyway, because of the rotting meat? -

Chase and catch it when it jumped out the dig, all pre Ban.

It's always good fun on THL in the Summer, the devil makes work for idle 'fingers'! Like you say, roll on the season!
-
I agree, can't beat a 'Terrier looking' type, at the end of the day that's how they should look.
-
The best I've seen were rough.

A working Patterdale for me, handsome is as handsome does.
-
Except he'd be using his real name? That usually tames a few wind up merchants.
-
Nooo they went out about 5 years ago, it's all the Essex look now, hair shaped like a bike seat and trimmed beards.?
-
Get your facts right DS, Lonsdale vest, Adidas trackies tucked into Slazenger socks and a pair of Karimor brown boots just so they don't look 'chavish'.
-
I only ever dug 2 Borders, a dog and a bitch. They were both steady types and the bitch would have probably had hundreds of digs throughout her career.
-
That's not the way I intended it, if you read it in contrast to the rest of my post, I was trying to get across that the dog had heart in abundance, but his weight/height let him down and that was an example I used.

I've done plenty of daytime Roe mate, I'm talking from experience not just making shit up.

It's all about Government control. The more you use your card the more they have a pattern or routine of where you frequent etc. I'm not saying they're watching us all, but if they ever needed to they could basically retrace all your movements at the click of a button. Same with all the new notes coming in, it's to figure exactly who has got what etc because if you don't trade them in then you'll have a stash of worthless paper.

Got to agree Chesney, it's all personal preference. I seen a particular bloodline a few years ago, it's the best I've seen and when I got some of it I wanted nothing else. On the other side of the coin, I know lads that had the same blood, the dogs failed and they're still searching for THE good stuff. Who's to blame? The dogs or the men? Well again that's personal opinion. The only way to look at it is, look at the men that have kept the same blood for years, are still producing and churning out workers. They must be doing something right so take note.
-
The truth is out there. I hope they don't keep AC bred stuff?
-
I live in England.
-
My digging buddy loves bitches, I'm a dog man personally, but as I've been advised 'your bitches are your future, not your dogs', and I havto agree.
-
What is this obsession with the AC stuff? Is it just an American thing? I genuinely know not one person that keeps the blood and I'm curious as to why it causes so much controversy on here?

It's true mate, the same one I mentioned I seen get dragged the full length of a field by a yearling Roe buck before getting kicked off, an hour later we dug a fox with the terrier I had off you and try as it might, the same Bull/Whippet could do nothing with it. The lad who had it used to like me going out lamping with him, just because my lurcher could catch them no problem and his lurcher would then see some work.
-
Tidy pups, the one Bull/Whippet I seen work had endless heart but didn't have the weight or power to be an all out fox killer. The added Greyhound in your pups should help with that. Good luck.

Both my terrier bitches are the same atm. Finished their seasons over 10 weeks ago, swollen nipples, one was hanging low and I was actually praying that no dog had caught her, thankfully she's lifted back up now, but what a carry on all this female malarky is. If it's not the missus and two daugthers, it's the bitches out the back. No wonder I prefer dogs!?
