He has over 20 years experience training gundogs, the training programme covers spaniels, retrievers and HPRs. We haven't seen them, but if his training days are anything to go by they should be good! Hope this helps Lisa. Lisa, have you been to Steve Kimberley? I was thinking of doing the same but have heard mixed reports, can you give me nay info please. Steve's a nice bloke & knows HPR's better than he knows any other the other breeds in my view.

  16. Was digging around some articles / books I have on setting up a pen & the following was included "for wild rabbits I recommend a density of 6 rabbits per 1/2 acre"
  17. How big is it? What is the cover like? How well is fenced ? The one I use (not mine sadly) is about 2 acres & has white grass & some bushes (not to many as it's about getting contact flushes). This pen contains ONLY wild rabbits. The owner says they act & smell different to pet rabbits & at the end of the day that's what we are going to hunt. He has no great problem with them digging out as he has tucked fence under & buried it. He also has a narrow drainpipe or two semi- buried so the rabbits can escape if a fox should get in.
