  13. It occurred to me lol, I remember seeing a documentary on builders buying folders full of receipts off of polish and alike, 50k kind of receipts at that. In my game you can get agencies asking for certs and quals so then they can change the names on them for Eastern Europe labour etc. I've worked with guys who claim for some crazy stuff but not heard of any repercussions from it. I play it fairly straight as accountant can legitimately claim a fair bit back because of my accomodation cost etc. Wouldn't mind a welding set receipt for £30k though ??

  15. Id say that's half hinge of a cupboard or animal feed bin, and hazard a guess the ring is related to leather either bridle or pouch/bag.

    Peregrine..

Had a job 8 storeys up on a tower block build in Southampton, used to watch the peregrine's, they'd sit on a church steeple then head out to sea to hit a few pigeons...
  17. Generally you point a shotgun as it should fit and be aiming pretty much where you're looking. I know a guy who shoots with an eye shut and he doesn't miss much , also one eyed fella who was a good shot. You've only got to see the bead move substantially by closing one eye or the other if you've a dominant eye then it makes sense to use it ....
  18. If you've not owned a lurcher then you're a novice, better to accept it now lol. I've owned two lurchers , over ten years and class myself as a amateur /novice. I've grown up with dogs and been around them all my life. You might land lucky and get something that's got the right temperament to suit you, or pick the right pup, or have a pup with enough prey drive, or pick something that's hanging off the back of a horse at 10 months old, there's not much point in saying five breeds and hoping it has a pinch of all the good attributes and none of the bad you might have six in the mix it looks lik
  19. I used these guys , I think a small double is £1200 , I've had mine a few years, and had a raft base , but it's got a year or two left in it. Hopefully last til I buy a place and can put a concrete base in, can't fault them for the money , think I paid about £800 so get wood is expensive as said above. Cheaper option would be a shed with pop holes, into panels... https://rhtkennels.co.uk/
  20. You wish you not eaten as much salad and gone after more potato gratin....?
  21. Id imagine they'd move out of courtesy or survival instinct.....
  22. I didn't see anyone get battered , I'm all for protest , but I don't get what holding up working folk going about their day to day or preventing emergency vehicles etc will achieve. It's not like it's protesting against a dictatorship or communism, it's about insulation ffs. Go and bug some MPs...
  23. I some what agree , although generally all folk have their vices , mine is beer and smokes, I had lots of fun in my twenties , got it out my system I guess , when lads settle or get trapped at a young age , which could happen to any of us then I understand wanting to see what another woman feels like , in the words of my father 'they're all the same ' or ' they'd all swap there kids for a car' lol maybe tongue in cheek but I've no desire for another woman, maybe like communism the theory is good but the reality is a bit different, work with lads breaking up a family for a two week fling, sound
  24. Best/comfiest boots I've ever owned were Danner pronghorns and if I ever manage to wear out these bloody lowas I'll get another pair lol. Although they let in water during third season I did serious millage in them in wet conditions and through bog and streams. Left them abroad as used to use them as a summer boot, but wear trail trainers these days.
