    Last years didn't go ahead Den; Up until the day before, it was on, we drove all the way up there, and there was just a note pinned to the gate saying "cancelled" !! I was a bit pissed off as they had my number and could have called me, and I could have let a few people know, and saved them a trip ! Not sure if we'll go this year, as two years ago it was a farce ! Shame, as I like to support the hunt shows, but I won't be going to the Morpeth or the Roman Wall show, as they were terrible !! Cheers.

    One problem I could see is the fact Huntaways are expected to bark at sheep, and a good "voice" is an asset to a Huntaway. Could lead to "opening up" in a Lurcher cross. Otherwise, very nice dogs. Cheers.

    Pics of me aren't hard to find on the net; I've judged a few shows and lots of pics are taken,(on the field AND in the pub !!), as I say, I've nowt to hide. But it just shows how a troublemaker can have it in for you !! Cheers.

    Hi mate, yes I have the odd pint, but as I drive thousands of miles a year, hold a HGV class one license, and have NEVER even had a point on my license and think nothing of driving up to 400 miles for a show, it would be madness for me to drive over the limit !!! This lunatic MAY have seen me have a pint, but as she is hiding behind an alias, I doubt anything she says should be taken notice of. She is obviously an anti or some deranged person with a grudge against me !! Cheers.

    Who ever chicken is, she is probably the one who hacked my account and tried to destroy a hunting site, she is now trying to malign me, classic ANTI tactics.     What annoys me, (apart from the fact someone hacked my account and tried to ruin a great hunting site), is the fact that I use ONLY ONE name on EVERY site I use, but people like "chicken" use multiple user names on every site they are on, including their own site !!! How sad is that ???????????

    My account with Scottish Fieldsports has been hacked, and I had the same password on here, and the scumbag that did it has cleared out many good posts, she was able to do this as I am a moderator!!!! If any one here has had any abusive PMs or messages purporting to be from me; they are not from me !!! This sad individual has tried to ruin a great site and spoil the enjoyment of many people.

    I've always found the opposite frost.The darker the night the brighter the beam appears and the lighter the night the beam seems dimmer. If you think the beam is too bright get a red filter for it,I've got one on my lazerlight all the time. i agree with that^ the reason im getting a new is my old lamp ( the massave one, if you saw my post about lamping ) only last 1 and a half hours now. Thats nowt to do with your lamp, mate, your battery decides how long you can lamp. Batteries degenerate over time. Cheers.

    Hi, how were the Border ? 30 odd year ago they were, in my mind, the best pack in Northumberland. I just got back into it a couple of years ago, and haven't seen them. I've been out with the Tynedale, canny pack; but I thought the North Tyne were a very poor pack, at least what I saw of them on Boxing Day ! Brae's looked a good pack when I was over Whittinstal last year. I suppose we should be greatfull to have a choice of packs to follow !!! Cheers.

    I have 3 freezers full up with game ,but I dont lamp hares anytime of year ,and I dont run pregnant ones . Our forefathers used to drive a herd of animals over a cliif to get a dinner ,should we do the same.I don't buy meat ,I don't have to but,no one has to rely on their dog to put food on the table today.My family have kept lurchers since before WW2,when a bunny was a welcome addition to the larder,times have changed I don't think you can use that as a valid excuse for running milky ,or nursing does. I didn't say it was an excuse for anything !! I said it was a hypothetical question

    Now I know this will invite the wrath of the purists, and the computer hunters will jump in; but does ANYONE use a lurcher for it's origional purpose, ie, putting food on the table ? Is a lurcher only for sport, and if the quarry gets away; well done, it lived for another day ?? Did our forefathers stop hunting because it wasn't "the season"?
