    Just bought a Cluson Blazerlite, 2 mill cp, and red filter, of Decoy on here, (didn't get my 10% discount though !!!). I'm using it with a 12 ah battery and have no complaints. Was out with a mate with a 170, and the Cluson had a better beam. Cheers.

    We were heading back to the car one night after a bit of a shine, and a dog who is the very best I've seen in more than 40 years of dog work, dived into a hedge, we thought he had a fox, but no, it was a huge ginger tom !! The dog was wearing it like a "Davey Crocket Hat" !!! Eventually the dog won; next day was a trip to the vets, the cat had got a claw into the front elbow joint of the dog; result, a month off work !! Don't under estimate cats; pets, feral or wild, I would assume wild cats are the hardest. Cheers.

    The hunters united classes for Lurchers and Terriers, are pre entry through the web site for members, but the open show is entry on the day. Cheers.

    Hi Doxhope, I'll deffinately be there, even though it was bad last year ! I've had an offer to be taken to Lowther, but honestly, I prefer the hunt shows, as I follow the hunts, (and have been on a few demonstrations !!). Last year was basicaly a rip off to get in; nothing to see or do; the lurcher show was about the worst I've seen !! So why go ? ; Simply to support a hunt. I would have loved to give some advice or judge, but I will be showing my dogs, and if I was in any way associated with the show and I won anything, the "cliques" tounges would start wagging !!!     Hi Molly, we were there last year, and yes, it was a mess !!! Some people were charged £5 to get in, some £8 !!!! There was only a bouncy castle and an ice cream van, no trade stands at all. The Lurcher judge seemed a nice guy, but didn't have a clue about Lurchers or judging !! When the rain started he was bringing the dogs to the centre of the ring two at a time, then just gave up inspecting the dogs and had a look round and picked the winner !!! A very well known Lurcher man went to the organisers and said he would arrange a judge for this year. These hunt shows have got to get their act

    No one, not even a vet can diagnose an injury without seeing the dog !!! Get it to the vets, if you can't afford vet bills, get some insurance, if you can't afford insurance, maybe you should seriously consider not having a working dog, Sorry if this is not the advice you were after, but as long as the dogs work for us, they deserve promt, proffesional treatment when injured. I hope it's nothing to serious and the dog makes a full recovery. Cheers.

    I hope Billy gets a good working home. I would have had him off LDR, but I keep two bitches. Been out with the dog, and for a big lad, he still catches rabbits on the lamp. Hope you don't mind me putting a couple of pics of him up. Will make someone a fine dog if they give him plenty of work. Cheers.
