  3. the dog will be approx 21 months in january not really a pup so wouldnt expect it to jack or yapp or be run ragged . 18 or 19 month. Cheere.

  6. Lovely looking dog mate, and a pleasure to meet you all at the show ! Cheers.
  7. In the "Whippet News" a few month ago, a Whippet bitch was put to a Greyhound dog. I may put my 23" bitch to a 27" dog next year; as long as you don't go to extremes, it should be ok . Cheers.
  8. Some of the best footballers in the world have came back from cruciate injuries; I'm sure with the right treatment and recovery programme, you dog will be O.K. All the best. Cheers.
  9. This has got to be the Premier Working Dog Show !!! It will be challenging the Big Game Fairs shortly, to be the Best day out for dog enthusiasts ! Fantastic setting, brilliant weather, and the craic is unbeleivable ! Met loads of mates and made a few more today, well worth the 380 mile round trip, we are going to camp over next year !! Cheers.
  10. Well, as you know, I've been out with Mally pleanty times, and his bitch IS class. IF you win your heat, then you will be up against a Whippet ! The guy is a real dog lad and it will be great to see a Big'un against a Little'un !! I can tell you...she is no mug !! Cheers.
  11. I'VE TOLD YOU !!! I might not give him back !! Or I might nobble him, as someone once accussed me of before !! LOL !! He's as fit as a Working Lurcher can be in August, mate, but all the dogs need to be fitter for the coming season, the game starts now !! Cheers.
  12. He's an old show pony, anyway !! He's qualified for the EDRD show tomorrow !! I might take him down there, or might celibrate the Toons draw today !!! Cheers.
  13. Allways said those Cockney fuckers are foul mouthed twats !! LOL !!! Cheers.
  14. ERRR..... Thats if I give you him back !!!!! LOL !!!!! The missus has fell in love with the whinging old b*****d !! Cheers.
  15. How about the entrants for this years competition showing us a pic or two of their dogs, and maybe a brief resume' of the dog ? I'll start it off; I'll be running Delta; same bitch as last year. She's four year old; 23" and around 40 lb. She's by Pat Blewitts Flynn, a 1st cross Bedlington/Greyhound from Breakheart Fell Kennels, and out of Gins Maegan, a Deerhound/Greyhound x Whippet/Greyhound. Last year she made the 2nd round, only to be beat by her working partner, and eventual winner, Bruce. She's more of an "All Rounder" than an out and out Lamping Dog; she has her faults, but I c
  16. What and where is the sub section?????? cheers....................... Near the top of the "Lurcher" Section. Cheers.
  17. LOL !!! You and Pip have also got a bye in the 1st round.... you run each other in the 2nd round ! Cheers.
  18. does the that draw mean ive got a bye??? Yes; your first match will be in the 2nd round against the winner between Jolong and Torchey. Cheers.
  19. Johnbob, I've absolutely no problem with starting a coursing bred pup on a summer hare; why wait 'till January when the hares will run the pup ragged and have the possibility of it jacking or yapping ? I'ts the guys who go out mob handed and slip multiple dogs on a summer hare, who should be castigated !! BUT; however proud you are, don't post on here about your pup taking a summer hare; as there is any amount of people who probably have never taken a hare, at any time of year, who will have a pop at you !! Best of luck with your dog. Cheers.
  20. Probably saxon coins them you could be sitting on millions lol. Nah mate, not so lucky !! On one I can just make out Victoria's head; probably a penny. The other one is so worn, there is nothing on it. I don't think the guy would have handed over owt valuble ! LOL !! Cheers.
  21. I live about 50 yards from Hadrians Wall, and one day I was walking home with the old Doberman, when I saw a guy metal detecting on the plough...I asked him how he was doing, he gave me a couple of old coins before I could explain I was only walking my dog, I wasn't the landowner !!! Never seen him since !! LOL !! Cheers.
  22. I don't think the breed is for me, I prefer an "allrounder" type; but the first one I saw was Scotsmans dog, a couple of years ago at Bedlington, and I've seen it a few times since, and some of it's prodgeny, and they are awesome looking dogs !! I know a few guys who have been out with them and they say they are very good workers. The few I've seen have been very fit looking animals. So if it is your type of dog, go for it ! Cheers.
  23. Sounds like he is going into a bloody war with the goats! Your mental pal just leave the goats alone. Besides ive never heard of wild goats in the united kingdom. All of what ive seen are fell sheep that are farmed by the local farmer. They have coloured marks on them that tells you there owned. FM Here's a link for you mate, there's pleanty in Scotland and Northumberland; http://www.camusnagaul.com/scottish/scotla...s-wildgoats.htm Cheers.
  24. Mate, it's only hearsay, but the guy who supposedly bred the 1st Bull Arabs, told his mates that his bull bitch had been mated by his old dog "Arab" !! It wasn't a Saluki, just the name he called the dog ! The "BullArab" never shows any Saluki traits, and I doubt that Salukis were available at stud, especialy to pig dogs, back in those days ! Cheers.
  25. I don't normally breed off a bitch until it's had 3 seasons work. However i lost Vixens dam a couple of months ago and would like a pup myself to bring on. vixen is due in season any time now but i'm not going to get her covered until the spring, when she's had another seasons work under her belt. Vixen has done everything i've asked of her and more and that was in her first full seasons work, I ran her alongside charpolski's bitch Delta when he visited a for a couple of weeks last season and maybe he will comment on her ability. I certainly wouldnt breed from an untested dog thats why i'm wa
