One of the best Lurchers I've ever seen is "cow hocked"; he'd never win a show, but, by, can he do the job !!! Your pup is very young, give it time, it will probably even up. Cheers.
-
I've never seen a true "runt" turn out bigger than the rest of a litter; are you not getting confused with the "smallest" in a litter ? Cheers.
-
Its proving it tho chartpolski, no doubt if it came to that the farmer would tell the law cochyn's dog was worrying his bullocks, leaving cochyn to prove otherwise, just be a waste of time and for both i reckon, theres acres and acres upon acres to go at, i reckon he should head for them instead. The guy that shot my dog will never shoot another dog....or anything else, for that matter ! Cheers.
-
Now, I'm a guy who often "walks on the other side of the fence", so to speak ! And have had a dog shot dead by an over zealous keeper; but we ALLWAYS only hear one side of these stories !! If you were threatened by someone with a firearm when you were on public land, going about your business, simply dial 999 and I can assure you, the guy will NEVER threaten anyone again !! He'll loose his F.A.C, S.G.C., and probably his livelyhood..... IF you were in the right ! Cheers.

In the semi, Taylor sickened Van Barneveld, who is the only player in the world who can get near him !! Whatever his price is at the bookies for the World Championshp, it's worth a punt !! Cheers.
-
Just watched the final of the "Grand Slam Of Darts"; and Taylor destroyed the other bloke 16-2, and finished with a 10 darter !! I had a drink with Taylor in '89 in Sweden, when Bristow was his sposor; I saw that he was good, but never imagined he would be the best darts player ever !! Cheers.

Delta is as game as a banty cock, as we say up here ! LOL ! Heres a pic I just took of her and my new pup, Lima, (the dark brindle), a 1st cross Deer/Grey; 17 weeks old; she's gonna be a big'un !! Cheers.
-
My bitch ; Sire; Bedlington/Greyhound. Dam; Deerhound/Greyhound X Whippet/Greyhound. Four year old, 23", 40lb. Cheers.
-
Max, Delta's injury has healed up well, and I had her to the local whippet track today for a run; she did a very decent time, and there was no reaction to her injury, so I gave her another run, and she bettered her 1st time. Of course this means nothing when compared with three hours running the lamp, but I think she will be O.K. to run her heat with Bruce. LDR and myself will make a date to run, and it shouldn't interfere with the projected finish of the competition. Cheers.
-
Well, as a lot of people know, LDR is my pal; I've hunted with him and had some great days, nights and laughs ! I had Bruce in my kennels most of the summer, and I KNOW he is a top class dog ! But maybe, just maybe, it will be the first time in Deltas life she will beat him !! LOL !! Whatever happens, it will be another great night between the two dogs, and we will probably be out again within the same week !! Young bloke with old dog...... or old bloke with young dog; who knows what the gods have in store !! LOL !! Cheers.
-
What do you mean "outside in the elements" ???? Any kennel should be waterproof, draught free and damp free ! As for the origional question; I have three dogs, one inside the house and two in kennels, and in my opinion it makes no difference to working ability. Cheers.
-
From this; To this; in 12 days !!! Delta had the staples removed on wednesday, and there is barely a scar !! I cleaned the wound with alcohol wipes and rubbed in Germalene daily, there is no redness or swelling, so now to get her fit for the heat against LDR. We will run as soon as possible on a date suitable to both of us. Cheers.

I'll say again, in case theres any blondes here, lets see the picture that the unknown member has photoshopped and is claiming is his own, not the picture that is above my last post, as you'd have to be dumb to miss that Stubby; I think it's YOU having a "blonde" moment here !! LOL !! The pic in question and the users name are in the link on Mallys post, (number 8 ), on this thread. Cheers.
-
Mally has taken hundreds of photo's of my dogs, and I've posted them on many forums, with pride, as they are so good. Then one day I was browsing e-bay, and there was a pic of my bitch adorning everything from mouse mats to teapots !!! I told Mally and he contacted e-bay and the vendor and had them removed. Another time, a magazine dropped through my door, and there was a pic of my dog advertising a Game Fair, in a country I have never even visited !! The images had obviously been lifted from forums on the internet.....It's not on !! It is his livelyhood, he is a professional photographer and

Whin; it's actualy IMPOSSIBLE for LDR and Single Handed to meet in the final !! If you don't have a clue about the competition........ why comment ? Cheers.
-
Moo, If I'm lucky enough to make the final, I would want to run at your place, without doubt ! But I did understand that if BOTH finalists wanted to run at some venue more central to themselves, to save travelling, they could. As for tha date of the final, I allways understood it had to be BEFORE XMAS, but no date had been set; this was to be arranged between the finalists and host. Next years comp, MUST have a written set of rules and dates and everyone must stick to them. The compm has been run in good spirit up to now,and I'm sure it will continue to. Cheers.

Sorry to hear about your dogs toe, CG, but at least you have another dog to run; good luck in the comp, and I hope your dog makes a speedy recovery. Cheers.

Ask a local game dealer, they will sort some out for you. Cheers.
