Seen some good ones and seen some bad ones, as with ALL crosses; was it down to the dog or the handler ?
I've only ever had one Collie X, and it was OK on rabbits, but was useless to me as I like an "allrounder". It could jump like a stag, but lacked the speed for hares. Of course, I can't equate ALL Collie X's on the performance of this one, but it DID sour my view of ever owning another.
Some people swear by them, and Typp Ratcher was telling me the number of hares that Collie Johns Dogs were taking and I believe him, but I think they are the exception rather than the rule.
