  1. She’s playing the long game, mate. Shes saying things that most right of centre people agree with. When Sunak sacks her, she will agitate from the back benches and when the Tory’s get decimated at the general election she will step forward and become leader of what’s left of them and they will, hopefully, become a true right wing party. Just my opinion of course. Cheers.
  2. I'm sort of in the same way of thinking; if it does kick off, you just know that the Labour/left wing press will say it was the presence of "right wing thugs" that lead to the trouble. When Sir Mark Rowley, the Met Commissioner, said today that he could see no reason to ban the march, I kind of hoped that it WOULD kick off and he'd have no option but to resign. How the Prime Minister, the Mayor of London and the Met Commissioner all refused to take responsibility for banning the march and passed the buck backwards and forwards just shows that no one is in charge, no one will make a d
  3. The only air gun I currently own is an old but very good condition BSA Meteor; My brother gave it to me and all it needed was a breech seal to bring it up to spec. I was given a Webley & Scott Tempest air pistol by an American pal and I couldn’t believe how powerful it was, I made a stupid mistake of selling it for £70 to a lad . Wish now that I’d kept it ! Cheers.
  4. Mackem a snob ? From Sunderland ? C’mon ! FFS ! Cheers.
  5. You know better than that, ,Wilf, don't confuse freedom of movement within the EU with illegal immigration and legal non-EU immigration. We are out and moving further away, albeit very slowly. As I said, it's not the Brexit I voted for, but it's better than the alternative that the majority of MP's and the establishment tried to foist on us. Itll be a long haul, but as the remainers scare stories continue to be unfounded , their wails will get less and less and more distant. Cheers.
  6. We are out of the single market and the customs union and freedom of movement and they are the huge parts. The rest, although very important, is just tinkering around the edges to sort out. The remainers, or traitors, as I prefer to call them, were actually hoping and working for Brexit to fail at great economic cost to the UK simply so they could say “I told you so” ! Of course it still isn’t the Brexit we leavers hoped for, I wanted a complete break, a hard Brexit, the one that Cameron actually put on the ballot paper ; “Do you want to leave the EU AND ALL ITS INSTITUTIONS “, (my c
  7. No mate, don't do that, I enjoy your posts, but you have to understand the UK isn't the land of the free. we need a license to fish, a license to watch tv, we can't own handguns,we can only hunt rabbits and rats with a dog, (you can't even do that in Scotland now), I could go on and on but it gets too depressing.... Cheers.
  8. Wolfs; I get the impression you still don't get the draconian gun laws and restrictions we have in the UK ! If you were shooting doves off the power lines in the city limits here, you would very quickly find yourself surrounded by a rapid response armed police squad with a helicopter overhead ! And I'm not exaggerating ! Cheers.
  9. "Si vis pacem......para bellum", as they say . Iubentium.
  10. Napoleon considered snipers using air rifles to be so feared and dangerous that he ordered anyone captured to be executed immediately, not to be treated as prisoners of war. Cheers.
  11. As I said, opinions will differ . As for Havertz; I’ve seen people sent off for less, but to me, it’s not the severity of the offence, it’s about consistency . On the one hand, they are seemingly trying to drive contact out of the sport, but then don’t apply their new rules consistently. But I’m not going to get too worried about it, we are riding the wave just now; I thought the games against Man U, Arsenal and Dortmund away , in three different competitions all in the space of one week, could define our season. A win or a draw on Tuesday at Dortmund would be , honestly, more tha
  12. Got to disagree, Wilf, both the ref and the linesman thought the ball was in play and allowed play to go on, and the ref gave the goal.It was VAR that thought it may have been out of play and instigated the check. Without VAR the refs decision would have been final, and he had decided it was a goal. Cheers.
  13. Just a few observations on last nights Newcastle Arsenal game ; Should Havertz been sent off ? Probably, but how did three Newcastle players get yellow cards, same as Havetz, for disagreeing with the ref ? Should Bruno have been sent off ? Probably. I believe he was looking for a yellow card, so he would miss the Bournemouth game due to his yellow card totting up suspension and be back for the game against Chelsea. Was it a goal ? Well obviously yes ! It had the longest, most complicated, most detailed, ( they looked at three possible offences)VAR checks, and came to the conclu
  14. Whatever happened to our Iranian friend ? Cheers.
  15. M&S have outdone themselves ! Theyve managed to piss off the Christians AND the Muslims ! Ive just watched the revamped Xmas add and they've now added the word Christmas( conspicuously missing in the origional add), and deleted the "burning Palestine flag". How can they get it so wrong ? Even if it was a genuine mistake, surely they would have people or focus groups to run the add by who would say "Whoa ! Do you see how that looks ?". Add to the fact that M&S is a Jewish company and you can see why the Muslims might get pissed off, it doesn't take much for them to k
  16. Yeah, it was on GBNews last night. He filmed Palestinian flags all over Bethnal Green and said “we let them into our country, how did they get here ?”. Police turned up mob handed at his house and arrested him for a “hate crime”……, Cheers.
  17. Ando’s house is behind mine and he’s got a yappy little shit of a dog, Ray Thompson , Newcastles kit manager lives two doors up from me and he also has a yappy little shitzhu. I’ll put up with it while we’re winning , but if we start losing, I’ll be knocking on some doors ! PMSL ! Cheers.
  18. John Anderson commenting on BBC Newcastle said he should be sacked now, at half time, never mind tomorrow! Cheers.
  19. I’m watching the covid inquiry and they are turning on each other like rats in a sack ! It gives the impression that we are governed by charlatans, liars, ego maniacs and people in positions of power who simply shouldn’t be there ! Its estimated to cost £40 million, for what ? Who’s going to get rich from this ? And if ALL government inquiries and projects , (HS2 ?), are anything to go by, it’ll cost at least twice as much ! Cheers.
  20. I was out in the desert when he ran a (very rare) hare and the hare skipped across the thin crust of sand covering a pool of crude oil and the dog went through it. I was in a Range Rover at the time and it was a long way from home. Anyway, I wrapped him in a blanket and went to a pals house on a military compound nearby and used a couple of bottles of Fairy liquid and a hose to get most of it off him, but it took a long time to get him clean ! Cheers.
  21. That brought back memories of one of mine in the Middle East covered in crude oil ! Cheers.
  22. The inquiry is expected to last until the summer of 2026 !!! Its not in the remit to find anyone guilty or innocent and not to apportion any blame , so what’s the point of it except to make a load of lawyers even richer ! Cheers.
  23. Still game ! Those scallywags up in Scotland were calling me and Beddy Dave " Jack and Victor" when I was going up there hunting. It was ages before I found out what they meant ! LOL ! Cheers.
  24. It’s only my opinion but I saw a lineal progression from Happy Days to Cheers to Friends to The Big Bang Theory. Casts of pals living out their lives in 50’s, 70’ 90’s and 2000’s America. Basically the same storylines brought up to date to reflect the times. I was also a big fan of MASH, Married With Children and even Will & Grace ! Now I’m watching re runs of It Ain’t Half Hot Mum, Till Death Us Do Part and Rab C Nesbitt, so I’m pretty eclectic with the comedy I enjoy! Cheers.
  25. It says on line that certain dialogues had the laughter taken out or sometimes recorded without an audience but on the whole it was recorded in front of a live audience. As I said, it doesn’t really matter to me, I enjoyed it either way. Cheers.
