  1. Here are pics of some more American bred coyote dogs. My buddy will explain a little about each pic I am sure.
  2. Outstanding! I wish we had more fox here but that damn coyotes eat em all up. I cant wait for the day when we get more fox again and a whole lot less coyotes and deer.
  3. Hey bluecollar. Is that the littermate to my gyp that I sent out there to yall? If so, he is still as racey as ever. My gyp is really racey now too and she might be one of the finest pups I have ever raised in my life.
  4. Andy, I wish I would not have told Scott to take me off the list now cause I would have asked him to give you my pup if she had enough. HAHAHA! Wink Wink Scott. Put em in the right hands brother, I know you will. LOL!
  5. Great pics. I really like the hair on them dogs. Its almost wire haired like a good stag would have. Gotta love it.
  6. The yotes are big enough for sure and they fight real real hard at the catch if they can.
  7. Them are not my dogs but I am sure Scott will let you know what that neck wound is from. Some of these stags are so intense that they will tear the throat out of a coyote or eat a hole right through the chest. They are extremely aggresive dogs.
  8. Pic of my kids and 3 of our dogs with Sunday's catch. Terrible weather but we endured and got the job done. Dogs are shot though for this week anyhow.
  9. This is how you make extra hard dogs. You breed two dogs together that can single hand a coyote without a problem.
  10. I like em a bunch. I think they are neat dogs for sure. If I was a hog hunter in Austraila jumpin off the "ute" then they would definately be a ticket for me.
  11. Well, when somebody shows me a bull cross that can catch a white tail deer, I will believe it.
  12. I dont know your deer thats why I say what I say. I have never seen a bullcross here in the states that would have the speed nor endurance to do it. Plus, just knowing what I know about the speed and endurance of our deer, it just would not be possible.
  13. I think I can answer that the question about the dog usually they will stop when they figure out what they are chasing is not prey. As for the terrier it is all in how the hounds are brought up. Rocks is dead on the money but of course there are always situations that aint good. Some of these Stags can literally not be trusted around nothing, not even each other at times but those kinds are usually dealt with quickly when somebody becomes aware of it. Problem is that sometimes, you just dont know til its too late and with these dogs if it kicks off, it is usually too late.
  14. I would say you are right on there. The only thing is, most the Salukis I have seen were obviously show bred and they just werent put up like a dog that has been tested in the field over the last hundreds of years. I seen some though in some pics here recently from some other countries like Kazakistahn though that were built right and you could just tell they could run for days. They were deep chested but also had well sprung ribs and were long lagged and squarely built but not over board. Just looked like good running dogs that could get er done under control though at all times. I would
  15. I believe them two dogs were about a year and a half old. They were catching and killing coyotes together since just under a year old I believe. They are littermate brothers and their daddy is one of the best that ever hit U.S. soil.
  16. Not a problem, law. Not a problem at all brother. These are not "lurchers" being ran on these critters. These have no "working" dog blood in them at all, well at least not for a long time ago. These are a strain of I guess you could call them "pure" running dogs that have tremendous amounts of stamina and courage. Here is a descent pic of two really great young dogs, close up so you guys can sort of see what they look like. Its very obvious there is no "working dog" in them.
  17. Remember, you dont hear the door bang so obviously these dogs have been on the ground already for a few seconds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIO_9oZzIwo
  18. It dont really matter, law. Somebody asked me to put this up. I dont think any of us are too worried about what somebody thinks that has never seen one run. We have coyotes here that take deer down and wolves that take elk and muleys. We have dogs that can take coyotes for fun. I guess you must no something faster than the game we run. There might be on the plains of Africa but as far as I know there aint been nobody breeding dogs just yet to take down impala and if there is I would love to see it.
  19. You might jump some coyotes 100 yards out and some of them might be a 1/4 mile or better. Do you want to see a video of them catching a fox? I can get one. Its rather funny how fast they catch up with it and I bet it was a half mile out.
  20. You may think they dont have speed but their aint never been a fox born that can out run them. I have personally witnessed a coyote taking a fox out like it was child's play. We dont even have fox left anymore cause the coyotes have caught and killed them all. I aint gonna get heated but trust me they can flat ass fly. I believe they have clocked some coyotes hitting 43 mph. This may be off a mph or two one way or another but trust me, they can get it. Them dogs that are running them down are extremely fast approaching track grey speed and have more stamina than you can even imagine. Li
  21. I'll take the generation after generation of dogs that do the exact job that I intend on doing. I do not want any this or that cross necessarily but would rather just have running dogs that have at least a few generations of every dog in the pedigree doing exactly what I want to be doing with them. With that being said, I have seen some neat crossbred type lurcher dogs that can do a hell of a job so you can get lucky either way sometimes. I just like dogs out of dogs for many generations that have been taking the game you are going to be running them on.
  22. I will be coursing coyotes off my mules in the near future. I used to do it with crossbreds but now I am gonna start doing it with straight stags. I will still keep some pure July hounds and maybe even some crossbreds for casting but I am gonna hunt stags from my mules soon. People do run them single handed to test their dogs and make sure they have single handed dogs but not very often. These coyotes are not anything like a fox. I know we keep stressing that but its very true and folks need to understand this. They do not go down easy. They are very hardy and not soft and breakabl
  23. Here is another of his dogs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGQaDh3qXIM
