  1. Here is another of his dogs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGQaDh3qXIM
  2. In my opinion they have more stamina than any other critter out there. I have seen folks chase them for miles and miles and miles with 4 wheelers and snow mobiles and they cant hardly wear them out. I have ran them with crossed up dogs and hounds for well over 15 miles before at a very fast clip.
  3. Here ya go gents. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAWjC_iKZyI These are a friends dogs in Idaho also.
  4. Ya, I suck at this computer deal. Give me a minute or so.
  5. Well, I know I got it on my computer but it might take me a minute.

  7. Well, that didnt work so good. LOL! Let me try again.
  8. This aint the greatest video but its all I can get for ya for now. Would like to get one with just 2 dogs so that yall can see that two dogs that know what they are doing can take a coyote fairly easy. One great dog can do it but its hard to come up with great dogs all the time for coyotes. http://www.mydeo.com/videodownload.asp?YID...&CID=181450
  9. merle24 I am here to tell you that it can get a little crazy coyote hunting. HAHAHA! They are absolutely the toughest critter in the world to catch. They are so smart is the problem with em. Its very rare that you can ever see em without sort of kickin em out of their hiding places. You also have to remember how friggin big the country is that we hunt over here. On a typical day of coyote hunting for me here in Illinois, I may cover over 30 miles or better. Out where these boys live, 30 miles is nothing. They literally live in a very low populated area of nothing but high dessert a
  10. Great pics and a good post . Pity you carnt get them stag [lines] over here, they would tackle anything, top dogs Shoot, you gents got the recipe, now its just up to you to do it. Breed good dog to good dog for 5 generations and you got it brother. Aint no secret and it aint magic. Breed and cull ruthlessly and it wont take long. Most of us boys over here cull very very hard and that is what keeps us in good dogs.
  11. Neither would I Scott, not after I found out anyhow. LOL!
  12. To be totally honest with you, not all of them would just destroy a fox but yes very many of them would turn one inside out in a couple of shakes. These are big, strong, powerful dogs that can flat ass fly. Some probably have a little dash of everything in them somewhere, yes even bull blood but really they have just been bred and test for the last 200 years on coyote. I would say the majority of the blood in these dogs is just greyhound with a splash of deerhound here and there throughout the years.
  13. I forgot to answer the one question about the fur. Yes, we can and do sell most of the furs to a fur buyer. Not all of them get sold cause they aint worth a whole lot but most of mine do. Coyotes are a real bad problem here and we try to exterminate them but you cant get rid of em no matter how hard you try.
  14. One more pic and thats it. Scott might get on here and give you a little story.
  15. Obviously the little terrier was not in on the catch but they just let him out of the truck to pull a little fur.
  16. These guys have some serious rockets in their pack. Dogs have speed and stamina and most importantly they can kill. The last part is just as important on coyote cause they are truly a test for a dog at the catch.
  17. The yellow bitch on the right can smash a coyote by herself with ease.
  18. Here are some pics taken last weekend in Idaho. These are some of my buddies out there and their coyote dogs. They took 11 in 3 days so not bad work on coyote.
  19. That one female is a cur dog and most our curs get their tails docked. The crossbred is a walker hound/cur x staghound/field trial greyhound. I have no idea why I docked his tail. Guess I was just in the tail docking mood the day he was born. HAHAHA! Seriously, there is no reason at all for it, just did it. I havent docked one since the little brindle gyps litter actually except one on July pup cause his tail was broken.
  20. I have a good friend of mine that has one of the nicest bull crosses that you could find and I think he would probably tell you that she would not have the speed nor stamina to catch a white tail here in the states. She is truly amazing but she has her limitations. Of course, I know nothing of your deer nor do we really do any lamping much here. Strictly day dogs for the most part but some do lamp some and I believe he does some himself or at least has with his bull cross. I think if she was bred to a nice stag here though that offspring might could do it. I sure do like them bull crosses
  21. Walkers, Julys, Curs, Curxhound crosses, Stag crosses, field trial greyhound crosses, just about anything that will do it. There are very very few dogs worth a damn around here but you can find good ones. There are alot of staghounds here that should have been culled a long long time ago but folks still feed them. There are some damn good ones though but you have to be pretty selective if you are gonna consistently catch coyotes around here. I will say one thing that always sticks in my mind, "A GOOD DOG IS WHERE YOU FIND IT".
  22. Pic of my daughter and a 37# coyote we caught under a creek bank. It was a very very rough deal but we got it done.
  23. just like 2 doubled dogs on a good foxlol Right on brother. I agree, the same exact thing. HAHAHA! I do not usually hunt pure dogs that are sight type dogs that can catch and kill on their own. Reason being is that I usually have to get these coyotes trailed up for a bit so the dogs can then lay eyes on them and catch em. Got quite the mixed pack at times.
