  1. Interesting thread I understand the need for control of certain species in certain areas but was slightly p*ssed off this week when I found a barn owl that had been killed with a shotgun and left on display on a fence in a popular public walking spot......why?
  2. Saw a lot of signs in Western Australia, would hate for a dog to come across it. Mitch are the baits supposed to be for foxes? What other species do they have an impact on?

  6. With regards fouling Moll, your dog can foul woodland, agricultural land, pavements with a speed limit above 40mph and your neighbours garden 'cos its private property :whistle: I know about the fouling of land act and dog byelaws, I used to be a dog warden..........
  7. Hello mate, We call them coypu and unless someone can correct me there haven't been coypu around since the late 's, early 90's, definately not in numbers
  8. You only have to have the dogs on a lead if there is a local byelaw regarding that stretch of public footpath..........
  9. I've got the 2.0 laguna estate, brilliant car, had mine 4 years and done over 130,000 miles, reliable and comfortable with lots of extras. The 2.0 petrol does about 36 mpg, not bad for a petrol engine

Ive got a 3 1/2 year old ebt x whippet bitch, firstly the good points very strong prey drive,excellent nose,bags of stamina,easy to train ie sit stay etc, no obsticle gets in her way when shes on something, had rabbits on the lamp/rats also and a half grown fox,and a sh*t hot guard dog.good with kids, very affecionate. Now the bad points,very very headstrong,possesive over food, kills,kennel space,over protective of the house/car,impossible to break to ferrets,has nipped workmen that have come to the house (they were warned), unpredictable,all in all quite a handfull.personally i could have sh

  12. Just wondering if anybody had owned a English Bull terrier lurcher? Are there any decent EBT's left or are they now just show dogs? Just wondering as EBT mixes are still used in Australia for hogs!!!

  14. Very interesting link I'd like to see some of the native species return, beaver, lynx, wolves and boar, although they are doing ok in certain areas. We have an introduced crayfish species in a local river and they have wiped out the native species.
  15. Made in China can be misleading, I ordered Chilli shreaded beef , egg fried rice and chow mein only to find they were cooked in my local takeaway I felt so silly :whistle:

  18. When I lived at home my mum used to let the dogs lick the dinner plates and coffee cups clean, I used to smile inside knowing that sometimes the dog had been ratting a couple of hours before :sick: My superstition is to never have the dogs in the house when i'm eating.....................

  21. No bullsmilk 'cos the are legal quarry. So are deer, hare, mink etc its just they can't all be taken by dogs. And foxes are still legal but can only be hunted under certain conditions.
  22. I think the site is excellent and would hate to see it go With young kids and working long hours i'm lucky if I get out once a week so coming on here when the kids are in bed is a relief
