  6. Agree with Millet, I have taken rats at night with a lamp but prefer smoking them during the day. Dusk and dawn are good times to catch a few stragglers
  7. I use a canon ixus and i'm happy with it, although its been at the repair shop for the last 10 weeks as I got dirt in it ratting, I wasn't very popular at home
  8. Fed raw, its natural, the dogs look good and they enjoy eating it. I feed chicken wings, minced tripe/chicken/beef/veg, pigs trotters, lamb rib racks and chicken carcases. Try it and you'll never go back to dried foods.

    Thanks fellas, I'll look on ebay I prefer using ferrets but my mates terriers would kill them and my bitch had a bad expeience as a pup and she may exact revenge so a smoker for the timebeing
  11. I haven't been fishing since I was a teenager but fancy a day on a boat sea fishing. I live near the east coast and does anyone one where I can go for a day out?? P.S. I'm a complete novice at sea fishing

    Nowdays when ratting we use a smoker. The old one was converted from a strimmer but was a friends and has died a death I would like to make one myself, is a strimmer best? And were can I get an engine to convert?
  14. I don't believe that a dog is too old to train certain things, but what do you want to train??
  15. its got nothing to do with any body else why he's breeding,if he wants to breed pups to keep ,sell or give away is entirely up to him,have you bred pups before He asked a question on a forum, I answered it and asked one myself.............. Yep, only one litter, I kept one and had homes for the others Too much rubbish being bred in all breeds i totaly agree with only using proven sire and dams,yes the lad was asking advice on the forum but didn't actually say he was going to breed off his bitch yet,it looked as though you were having a dig at the lad for considering breeding

  18. As above, there is enough rubbish about, only breed from your dog if it has proven itself over several season of work. Also why are you breeding? For a pup to bring on, for friends or profit??

  20. Yeah, about 15 years ago lamping a golf course with a collie, this strange glow appeared on the horizon before I realised it was a land rover heading my way...........I promptly disapeared :11: Had it occasionally when out at night, usually after recently watching a horror film
