  1. My pm thingy is acting up mate....so much so that i started a thread to get some advice /help. All i got were stupid and abusive replies ..hence this thread...thank you for taking the time to respond in a childish manner..how do i report a Mod by the way? Press the report button an ill give myself a warning
  2. Cant see the reason to swear, lack of vocabulary, failure to express ones self.. Thats Bollocks Bill
  3. Answer your pm's you wanker
  4. Always good to get your dog MOT'd before the season, or an old dog............
  5. Agree Bosun, i avoid horses with the dogs, some are real nasty feckers, saw a terrier kicked to death once
  6. Pushy cows do seem to irritate dogs for sure, i remember having one of my dogs tossed over a dry stone wall with a 10 foot drop, on the plus side i do like a nice steak
  7. Mate, i think the commennts made were fair enough. If you had stated you owned a 5 year old bitch, stated her breeding and mentioned how you work her, what her attributes are, what her short comings are and what you hoped for from the pups you may of got a more detailed reply.........
  8. Politics........When egos, politics and clubs enter the melting pot the actual ability of a breed gets put on the back burner.................
  9. Yep I agree, seen dozens of rabbits caught by cats, one of mine used to regularly nab them and the odd leveret too...........
  10. PMSL, i quit at christmas and anyone who knows me knows i was a heavy smoker. I tried a couple of electronic brands but found the VIP brand the best, you can even get golden virginia flavoured filters. Its works out as 1,080 fags fro about £59, lot cheaper than real ciggies or roll ups, plus you naarrow the chances of cancer or heart disease..........
  11. Out off the four breeds of Belgian shepherd Andy the only one worth a damn as a working(sport/service etc) is the Malinois. Although they are lighter boned they are much more high maintenence than a shepherd and require much more "input", personally i wouldn't want one as the malinois high drive temp if passed onto a lurcher would make me lose what little hair and sanity i have left!!! I find shepherds, good ones just as highly driven but a little calmer.......
  12. Andy, the hip problem seems to clear up when outcrossed. But also i tested mine and would never breed(i have only ever been involved in breeding one litter of any breed) unless they were a low score or graded A from imports. Its funny you should mention shepherd x collie as my mate used to purposely breed them for competition work as they always had a certain extra something, they seemed to have drive, yet were often calmer than either parent. The pups were only ever black and tan or black and white and many had success with dogs bred this way. But i still think what you now has enough pas
  13. Give your head a wobble and don't take the internet so seriously.............I love the irony of your post, moaning about people moaning
  14. These are just hypothetical questions johnny...only the same as asking if they would add pure whippet/greyhound down the line....personally i wouldnt add it but there are some intresting reasons as to why they should/should not be added....makes for interesting reading imo...atb stabba Aye Johnny, as stabba says, just a hypothetical question involving another breed. I agree looking at the dogs i wouldn't add anything, just keep the line close................

  16. I aways want the other home nations to do well so can't understand those who are desperate for England to lose, but saying that dry your eyes we are still there
  17. The Ukrainian striker was offside so it all evens out....................................lab.....................i can ban you
  18. Were they not prone to giving tongue though, then Simo, the Shepherds? Cheers, D. No mate, never......
  19. Dare i say it but i'd rather cross a top draw shepherd with a top draw coursing bitch rather than a greyhound, but not many owners of either a top draw working shepherd or top draw coursing bitch would be too enthusiasstic about such a mating Edited to add apologies for diverting the thread
  20. yes but even the bigger types will still knock over rabbits, and pre ban give a good acount on fox+ deer, they aint as slow mate as they look as i said to you. your mate who had them in the 70s, got a 1x big heavy fecker now lol in New Zealand catching loads of game (pigs, rabbit, deer, bob cat) they aint that slow mate Ray, i know you dont like to mention in when chatting............. But im looking forward to seeing your pup grow and develop when you get it, and i know who you are refering to in NZ, we chat a lot and his shepherd line has been doing the business for 20 odd year
  21. Sorry to hijack simo but I'd say everything a collie has but more guts for when the going gets tough. Shame you didn't put yours across simo would of been a nice type i aint arguing here just making a few points, do you think it makes the difference on pet/import/show... just with the collie into our DON she is a guttsy bitch, with tackling cows on the fellside. and when the going gets tough with don, he keeps going and going and going! i just couldn't imagine the same thing if he was out of some old womans little collie.. BUT then again Bulpa was just that and was out of the neighbours
  22. That was an early SS collar, i'll sendd him round to deal with the complaints
  23. The ones i kept had very high drive Jamie, and just as importantly tested hips, the breed average was 19, mine were 4. Mine had amazing noses, the black one was a competition dog and we won organised comps against the bloodhound club of GB and won over 3 mile competition tracks. He was trained to ignore all ground game and scent but his son, in the photo with him i actually worked on the lamp, a couple of members on here saw him work, he used his nose to good effect when bushing and pegging pheasants and i'd say he had more wind than some of my lurchers Nice tight feet, very trainable, bidd
