  15. I enjoy it, does all television need to be informative and educational?
  16. " Boxing is a watered down version of bareknuckle " ..............150 years of history and tradition.............................Some things are just not worth debating. Agree about ufc......it sold out on itself Gnash, its not always easy to get a point across on a computer, my point about being watered down, i meant boxing was originally bare fists, gloves were introduced as part of the marquis of Queensburry rules. I enjoy boxing, i used to like hammering a punch bag and sparring a few rounds, but im a bigger fan of MMA. Perhaps we should leave it there, i could waffle on all n
  17. My point being Simoman.....folk like yourself say this and that about boxing and how the " rules have changed ".......your wrong, boxing never sold out on its morals like the ufc did..... The Marquess of Queensbury Rules were set in 1867...............not one of the major 12 rules does not still apply today......the sport has lasted near 150 years without change.........ufc lasted about 3 years !! http://iml.jou.ufl.e...ntura/rules.htm Your perhaps misunderstanding me gnash, I for one wont start comparing MMA and boxing, to me they are totally different sports. I didnt say the rules ha
  18. Apart from the amount of rounds now being limited to 12.............the sport of boxing hasnt changed in over 100 years !.......................ufc is barely recognisable from what it started off as,a mere 20 years ago. I know what your saying gnash, MMA has changed raqdically in ln less than 20 years, but unfortunately it has been forced too in todays climate.
  19. Matt, they are everywhere here. Far too overpopulated, and yes i saw half a dozen in daylight crossing a road near a busy town a couple of years ago. And i agree they are causing problems with TB, but is till say with regards to bumble bees other factors have been far more detrimental. Thats very interesting about the hedgehogs though, i remember 10 years ago finding them in the garden, on walks and pottering around in the evening, now you rarely see one squashed on the road and i cant remember the last time i saw a live one..........
  20. Its idiot  Looking at the link, its clear some people have no shame and see nothing wrong in advertising a 3 year old dirty dog living in a shanty kennel, poor f****r
  21. The sport has evolved beyond belief, the fighters from the first few UFC's were a mixture of a few skilled fighters like Shamrock/Gracie, some journeymen like Gordeau/Rosier and some street thugs like Abbot/Ferrozzo. The sport has developed so much the skill levels of the original fighters quickly became obsolete. Unfortunately the world is governed by rules, boxing is the same, would we class boxing as a sport as its a heavily censored and rule laden shadow of its former self, bare knuckle?
  22. Groin shots, head butts and a myriad of things HAD to be governed or the sport would of died before it started. The no holds barred was a great selling point for the first few fight cards, BUT to ensure the sport was licensed and had a future it HAD to alter the rules. Even now some states in the USA and senators oppose MMA competitions at any opportunity.
  23. The decline in bumble bees has little to do with badgers. Nice pic Rofle, been a couple of years since i have found a nest dug up like that....... Got to disagree there Simon. The badger population here in the SW is so huge now that they are hoovering up everything in their wake. It's not unusual to see hungry badgers out in broad daylight looking for food, and whilst walking the mutts I've seen countless bumbles that have been dug out. While I'm sure the Varoa mite has taken it's toll of bumbles, the badgers around here are killing everything they can get to. Perhaps
