  1. Lincolnshire has always put hare coursing on its priority list, i don't run hares, never have but we used to lamp a lot near Boston, this was on permission but the hassle down there makes even permission hunting a pain in the arse.....
  2. Truely disgusting, filled my truck last week, cost over £90, its was 50 something when i bought it four years ago..........
  3. Had dogs both inside and out, quality time helps you bond with your dog, whether thats in or out and i don't believe it makes a difference to working ability......
  4. Excellent opportunity, wish it was this part of the country.....
  5. Been boycotting them for years, the price of fuel due to VAT and tax is staggering, and we take it!!!!
  6. I totally understand what skycat is saying but personally i always leave collars on, i like to be able to control the dog with it if the situation arises and as i often take two dogs lamping i use slips to ensure each dog can have its run........
  7. I used to be a professional trainer and my dogs were trained to a very high standard with a huge number of commands, nowdays i'm happy if they have a solid recall, retrieve, are stockbroken and lie down..............
  8. Beardies are good beginner lizards, make sure the vivarium is large enough and has some height as beardies are semi-aboreal and like to climb so provide plenty of logs and branches, for heat use a bulb, preferably a red bulb to reduce stress and this should be wired to a thermostat to control the lizards basking temp. You will also need a uv bulb, this should be turned on between 8-12 hours a day and is essential as it provides vitamin d3, this replaces natural sunlight and is needed to avoid metabolic bone disease. Newspaper or calci sand is an ideal sunbstrate and the beardies will need ad
  9. Not pointing fingers mate, meet a few folk and listen, just avoid some of these daft theories they are suggesting. To be honest in this game you need a thick skin......
  10. I demand 100% commitment, i don't want any injuries, nobody in their right mind does but expect my dog to give full commitment when i slip it, i'll choose the slips but expect my dogs to give it their all and not think if they should run it, its just a step away from pulling up IMO.......
  11. Sorry can't help but with regards to bulbs, osram everytime
  12. 8 seconds!!!!!! Jeez, thats as much use during lamping as an ashtray on a motorbike!!!
  13. That sounds alot better mate, I'l give it ago, Mate, listen to some of the other lads, in a nutshell its a wank idea, find your dog something to chase, to allow his instincts to kick in. Find a rabbit far out and let the dog use the instincts he has. The dogs drive is triggered by flight of the prey species, having a dead rabbit in a field!!! My bet is you will have to walk the dog to within an inch of it and he will show little interest in the cadaver, get him sighted on something moving and he chase.
  14. Ignore the idiot who told you about the pegged rabbit as somewhere a village is missing its idiot. Just try to pick a good night with rabbits feeding right out, get between them and the warren, get your dog sighted and slip. It ain't rocket science just take it from there mate
  15. I had clulite for years as a youngster but when i got a lightforce i saw the light Mine was the 1,000,000 candlepower and i found it totally inadequate when the dog was taken over distance, thats just my findings though....
  16. The conections on lightforce lamps are poor, better stripping the plug and wiring it straight to the battery. Clulites are poor IMO, only good for close range bunnies......
  17. The conections on lightforce lamps are poor, better stripping the plug and wiring it straight to the battery. Clulites are poor IMO, only good for close range bunnies......
  18. The nightstalker range are superb, they have an equivilant range to lightforce at a cheaper price. I have a lightforce blitz and the nightstalker equivalant to the striker.......
  19. i was under impression aslong as its 3 generations from wolf, it can be kept as a normal dog an that if the germaqn shepard x greyhounds were decent deer dogs, why wouldnt these wolfdogs x greys be any good???? ill never try 1, even if the chance arose, but makes ye think tho, they are the ultimate dog, so to speak F3 Generations (and beyond) are 100% legal, and they can actually be 'High content' even 3 generations from the wild wolf, the Czech is about f15 I'm a little out of touch as i used to organise DWA licenses back in the late 90's..... Dotty the original
  20. I was there, went with my local branch of Fell and Moorland which later folded, remember seeing Christopher Biggins stoos at the side supping champagne, at least i think it was Biggens, could of been wag.....
  21. I doubt a wolf hybrid would be of any use in the field, plus you would require a dangerous wild animal licence which would have stipulation including not be allowed to take the animal into the field.........
  22. the fox in the tree was just one of those things ,those dogs have caught hundreds you do not know what you are talking about ,some of those dogs were catchting off camera and they were a bit knackered Macky,I have too agree with wilf about the tree root "episode", it was cringeworthy and poor and can't be classed as "one of thoese things"....
  23. May catch the odd bunny on the lamp but most folk rabbits are easy, in my opinion they ain't..........
  24. Too big, heavy and unsuitable for quarry now or pre ban. Can't see they would add anyhting to a running dog, they won't have the drive of a well bred bull which would be the type of cross you would expect to compare them too........
  25. Me and stabba just got in from bagging a few bunnies
