do u hunt ?????? i was brought up to hunting,,,,,and i seen lurcher guys ,,,somtimes can be the worst for this,,,,,lev dogs in kennel,,,,too WHEN THEY DECIDE TO GO OUT ,,,,,amazing that ,,,isnt it AND may i might add,,,,LURCHER GUYS LOVE THERE PUPPIES,,,till they grow up,,,then they cant be assed (left in kennel to rott ) ive cutted more rabbits , caught and shot more hares ,,,,than most folk ,,,,killed foxes ,,snared shot or caught,,,,,tooken more roe than most ducks/pheasents/ patrige/ piegeons/ weasels/ stoats/rats///the list goes on and on,,than i care to remeber what lurc

I have met lads who have done more than i will ever will, but i also read many of the threads on here and wonder if these folks have ever actually done any form of hunting and purely talk about it based on theories written in books.........

in what way does the badger affect hare numbers hannah?? They eat leverets...... and stoats,polecat,weasel,fox,hawks etc dont,nor would a dramatic drop in temperature and wet weather wipe a few out.. I wasn't discussing the other species and didn't say they did or didn't, the question was asked do badgers affect hare numbers.........

Personally i wouldn't entertain lamping a dog until its 10 months and then depending on the dog, some still can't put their legs together properly even at that age......

Perhaps it would but i doubt a good foxing dog crossed with a superb coursing dog would of knocked hares over as well as purely a coursing bred dog, its difficult to get the best of both worlds, dogs tend to specialise although the odd world beater will pop up. As for the American hounds, are they equally as good on jacks and yotes, or are they better on thevtoothy stuff? I don't know........... -
