    Horses for courses, depends on your definition of 4x4 lamping, on permission/off permission, type of land etc. Its a FACT you will put more quarry in front of your dogs driving the land BUT is it on permission, im too old and ugly to be poaching so although i do have a couple of spots where we can drive (which is great fun) 99% of my lamping is done on foot, we don't get the same numbers but i feel its more "traditional"

    I used to start manwork dogs of a tug and begin training at 8 weeks BUT your right Wilf, some like to get the basic obedience going first and start manwork at 6-8 months.............
