  1. Couldn't agree more Penny, fine in the field but always a potential timebomb around the house and kennels, and without exception the terriers always come off worse.........
  2. Do they leave cover when the foilage dies back? Or is it linked to mating, although they breed all year round?? Obviously i'll only be observing them, i know lamping deer has always been illegal
  3. Hope those eggs aren't FOUL Was out sloe picking yesterday and mushrooms everywhere but even after reading a few books im not confident which ones i can eat and which would have me shitting through the eye of a needle....
  4. Folks, just wondered about your experience of the munty, the munties i have seen here in Linconshire have all been in woodland but i have heard and read about them venturing out into the open under the cover of darkness or dusk and dawn, do any particular counties/areas find the have different habits, does density make a difference?
  5. Glad you found a home, but im confused, if your not on the net how did you post this?
  6. Agree with Simoman, for the last 25 yrs or so I've had an average kennel of eight dogs, over the years some have been rehomed at retirement age, some have been PTS and a couple have died in the field, never once have I seen any dog pine or be affected in any way. Truth be told I actually don't think they're missed by any other dog. As for animal behaviourists most have degrees not animals. So very true, around 2001 a behaviourist asked to attend an obedience class i was running, he explained after the class he had acheived his degree and was looing at setting up dog training classes and

  15. Robbie was a good boxer gnash, he put in some impressive bouts but he verbally tapped against ( i think) Pete Spratt when he kept getting repeatedly kicked on the thigh and was knocked out by Nick Diaz in impressive fashion and that was him done in the UFC..........
  16. You not a fan of the bedlington x Simo? Wouldn't say either way mate, all i know if there are a lot of good tested wheatens and bulls, ive yet to see a really good beddy cross although im sure they are out there

  19. you should of put the lot in a rogan josh sauce,it could of been your best curry to date Bagging it up was amongst the most stomach churning things i have ever done, i even chucked the 18 month old freezer as the smell was so strong...............Although all this talk of curry is making me hungry........
  20. Well im a brave boy No mention was made of his dog, that was never my point, what im saying is many dog will go out night after night and take stick BUT its our responsibility as owners when to say the dog needs a rest, as for spewing, mate as i said, anything will spew with fur on, EVERY dog has a breaking point, some break easier than others but all will break mate, no matter how good they are its possible to break them........ All historical in England now anyway...........
  21. I adore a good curry, BUT the other month my freezer went off in the shed, it had last seasons catch in their but hadnt been touched for a couple of months and the power had tripped off, when i opened it the smell was unreal, with half an inch of water and mushed rabbits, game and birds i was physically sick and not been able to touch rabbit since, im hoping it will pass soon!!!!!!!!
  22. Crikey youth, i think i got the question in the end...........A combination, good breeding produces better stock, and better stock must be carefully reared, entered and a dash of luck.........The occasional world beater crops up from indifferent parents, but its just that.........occasional.... You can't polish a turd.............
