i owned a half bred one ... bred out of a coursing grey (dam) x a ridge that was used for flushing deer (sire). he would pull deer with ease day and night (pre ban),catch rabbits no problem and even caught the occaional hare (lamped). foxes he had only seen 6 in his life before i owned him and he was meant to be a spoon on them , i never tried him on them . he weighed about 70lb id say and stood 26" tts but had plenty of pace and stamina. he was a good gaurd dog aswell. bit dog agressive round certain dogs aswell. alot of people seem to be doing the ridgeback/bull/grey but i cant see

some good advice there keep it clean and dry ..if your abit unsure mate take a drive down to mine and i can take a look for you. my dog as done his pads a few times (hazards of the ground i run) .. pm me if you want to bring it down

i lamp a white dog ... only problem i find with him is the blood shows up like feck when im walking home if he as had a fox ... but other than that theres no problem with the colour -

breed when you need a pup and keep what you need from the litter for yourself and a close friends -
some one will buy them and you will find its a manchester terrier x bedlington/whippet/grey and the pups sell for £450 each

bitch i owned caught her first rabbit at 9 month old first time out but i picked the easiest rabbit i could find and then went home .. done this on 3 nights up till she was 12 month old .. just so i didnt over do it with her and spoil her .

get a mentor .. as there is stuff what is quite hard to do. im sure some one on here will guide you better than i can as i only started learning this last season.. a harris hawk would probably be the easiest .. all your stuff you can get from ian vance falconry supplies .. wants you get the basics a harris is simple to keep on weight and easy to work with ..

my dog dropped and still does drop the dummy short but retrieves rabbits to hand everytime .... following kevs tips should work though

my lurcher never seen another dog on a fox .. he was slipped on his own at around 2 years and nailed the fox and he aint looked back since.. i dont think you need a dog to bring another on all the time. some dogs just seem to want to do it . my dogs breeding is beddy/whippet/wheaten/grey x bull/grey .. dogfacekilla i think your theory is a good one

when did you pass your test ?? as if it was after 97 you will need to sit a test to tow anything over 750kg. if your towing a combined weight over 3500kg for a business you will also need a tachograph fitted to the towing vehicle.

everyones opinion will differ , all depends on what they like personally i run 2 lurcher x lurchers but would have a first x anyday , cause at the end of the day if it does its job thats all that matters
