  1. You might muzzle blast residue on the objective lense cousin lol.
  2. Yes but then when I report a super slinky someone pops up and says " ever heard of nv" ?. I'm confused ?. I guess it is a lot of hammer to crack a nut!
  3. Lol no. The primer is in the primer pocket. The primer pocket is in the case head lol. Ever heard of case head separation? ?
  4. Oh! Well I have witnessed this with a pard nv17. I would be annoyed if I just spent near a grand and it didn't work! Thermal is to much for my pockets unless its in the Damart catalogue!
  5. Still only bullets lol. Think it came about via war head. The only head on a cartridge is the part where the primer is. Anyway I miss my 6.5. Not jealous at all ?
  6. Well new slinky has found the new site....and so have the sheep. 1100 photos of sheep?
  7. Nicely played. I don't shout oi. I do a merrr. They stand for ages wondering what it was.
  8. My cz didn't like them but that was a few years ago now.
  9. I never really understood the poachers gun name. Sure they are concealable but one could cut the stock off and make it ever easier to conceal. In saying that, as a kid I did know a chap that walked his whippetxgreyhound with one of these in a special pocket in his long coat, just in case like.
  10. Ian. I have two hmr rifles ( its OK, I'm good about it), one for day and one for night.
  11. I know that friend. There are the old 12mm oled screens, 16mm oled screens. I tried one of them but found it a bit fiddly. I wondered what else is there out there. I all seems a little daunting.
  12. How much. Will it work on that scope you just got?
  13. .....then the doubts set in. So expensive (for me). What if they are rubbish. To fiddly. I can't see squat up close like controls. I see second hand units for sale. No idea what is good or bad. Night vision scopes. I'm talking NV scopes, sights. What is the cheapest clearest, easiest to operate NV sight? I just don't know what to do ?
  14. That is the scope I have on my night time rifle. It does check out accurately. At night though it is a shame the range figures do not illuminate....not that I have shot much further than 100yds at night! I'm currently (in daytime) using the PX focusing to judge rang but it is far from ideal. The blurb says, iirc, on 13x the distances become meters. If your foreign lol. Or from Canada, or down under.
  15. I popped out to feed the new baiting point and returning I noticed some bright eyes in the sheep and the sheep were moving, they weren't when I arrived! Sure enough this vixen keeps on coming towards me totally ignoring the yellow lamp. 100yds I stops it and shoot. Interestingly it makes 100yds but is still alive! I moved in and ends it. The first bullet hit perfectly but there is little sign of expansion! I'm wondering if this batch of ammo is somewhat tougher than the last! Anyway, I thought a new visitor had arrived. I could hear the others barking in the distance.
  16. I'm tempted to because I think a freshman has turned up. Oh wait, when I moved the camera early I forgot the scraps so I have to go and bait the new site ?
  17. Nothing wrong with a 410 at all?
  18. True. We only had some success on Friday because we were on a flightline.
  19. First thing is they are bullets, not heads friend. The jackets are not getting shredded in flight otherwise you would hit the target with any sort of group. However the very high rpm from SM6.5 can compromise a bullets integrity. Basically turning a bullet into a varmint bullet on contact with the animal. Especially with sharp rifling. My tikka in 6.5swede was fine with 95gn vmax and the long pencil bullets I use to call them. 6.5 SM is one of my all time favourites.
  20. Daughter is now negative. We all still negative. I'm back to work tomorrow ?. Stuck in babysitting today ?. Camera all moved. Two weeks to full moon. A fox visited last night just after 9pm?
