  1. I've just been out and whilst watching two fallow a little vixen pops up! Gave a squeak and in it came.
  2. Croxton country stores staffordshire. Everything from wellies to a tin opener, a mole trap to a chainsaw file and the walls are covered in shotguns and rifles. Whiskey too!
  3. I like combination guns. Owned a couple of Savage arms m24's years ago. Surprisingly very good and useful.
  4. Yeah, I cry like a baby when it comes to paying ?
  5. I've had my fair share of contributing to idiot moments. In fact it could be said I'm a natural! Took the dog a walk and bagged a pheasant.Nothing remarkable there I know. No it was when I got to the trail camera that my latest idiot moment was revealed! Checking the times that slinky visited the site it suddenly dawned on me the cameras clock was a hour forward! All those early mornings were a total waste of time for goodness sake man........ So how is it for you. Any one got any comical idiot moments that at the time were frustrating but are laughable now?
  6. Lol, all I remember when I was on a big shoot is that if I told the keeper I had had a lovely evening watching a vixen bringing sitting hens to her cubs I would of been royally kicked up my arse! Mind you, I was impressed once whilst waiting for a vixen to return to the cubs, in she came with a rabbit and a hen pheasant in her mouth at once! She had job to keep her back feet on the ground!
  7. Ask your firearms admin for a temporary ticket.
  8. Fox down. Had a migraine this afternoon so not feeling my best I wrapped up and got to my seat. Wind was good. The sheep had bedded close to and I could clearly see them. I thought they will give me a warning if one comes in. It's appointment was 20:20pm and had 40mins. I used my binoculars to scan the moonlit sheep and field. The sytong 66 could also scan without ir but it was grainy. At a push it would shoot. A ewe moved in front of the trail camera and I could just make out the trails camera's ir led's with the naked eye so moving the camera slightly was a good move in
  9. No it's fine. My seat is in a dark spot, I'm going wrap up and go but the wind might be all wrong. We will see....
  10. I'll raise you Ben. North Staffs pheasant soup! ?
  11. One off thems got the right hump with you Dave!
  12. I just don't believe it! Yesterday checks camera. Slinky was there 5.37am. Drops two squirrels there. I return at 9pm and they are gone! This is why, look at it lying down with a full belly! This is not slinky. Slinky rocks up at 7am for its chicken I left for it late last night. I left there at 6am after being there from 4.30am ?
  13. So I was out with my new add on last night and 4am. I am actually very impressed. Except for the field of view, glad I took the 12mm option. The range is outstanding and so is the image. The controls are better for me too, on top of the unit. Never saw Charlie last night. They seem to be shutting up for the season. No picture, I'll wait until I get a victim for that. I do need a spotter though..... Anyway, thanks for the help folks ?
  14. Me to. Squirrels and pheasants. Had a fox coming my way driven away by the neighboring shoot but my thick dog had gone forward and it saw the stupid mut ?. Anyway, got some groceries in.
  15. Have fun. Joke for you to tell.... My Mrs found out that our dog could hardly hear, so she took it to the veterinarian. The vet found that the problem was hair in the dog's ears. He cleaned both ears, and the dog could then hear fine. The vet then proceeded to tell the Mrs that, if she wanted to keep this from recurring, she should go to the store and get some hair remover and rub it in the dog's ears once a month. Mrs went to the store and bought some hair remover. At the register, the pharmacist told her, "If you're going to use this under your arms, don't use deodorant for a few
  16. That ruddy fox has been yapping all night. Blasted thing has kept me awake all night! Did shoot a rat on me fat balls though lol.
  17. Yes, I'm mindfully of that to thanks mate. I need a fog free night now but first I need to zero the rifle because I set the scope as forward as possible. It will be out a few clicks now. On a sidenote a dog fox has been barking all night around my house ?
  18. Right got it, it's my eye. Much better with glasses on. I know that sounds daft but I tend not to wear glasses at night but am going to have to with this device. Thanks everyone.
  19. Sytong 66 12mm. Will fool with it some more.
