  1. It will still locate via the acres and you can add other ways of location. Just means you may have a line showing.
  2. Is it the hogue stock. If so how about speaking to hogue. I made my own Dek from plastic because I needed to shorten the stock.
  3. Cracking photographs ??? Not really wore the PJ's recently for fear of arrest. Health-wise, just getting older mate ? but better off than some! Take care buddy.
  4. Ayoop old la. Good to hear from you. It must of been emotional that last day. Best wishes to your Mrs and her sister. I know you will look after them.
  5. Honestly sounds like the bolt rails are gummed up and overpowering the bolt return spring mate. Had a few do that.
  6. Strange. From this distance it looks like the common denominator is your friend ?
  7. To be fair, it would be tempting to get the job done with them being there and then. They may of been aware that or worried that they may of moved off and then the opportunity lost etc etc. Something is a miss for sure. To have two rifles off, maybe three....there has to be a link there!
  8. Was the c50 on the 22? How far were the 22 shots? I don't have an issue with using a 22, just trying to work out what if any is the common denominator.
  9. Can he shoot a rifle? Some struggle to shoot a rifle.
  10. The bolt was not able to close or complete it's travel despite the cartridge already successfully half way in the chamber?
  11. Good luck with them! What exactly would it do? Fail to??
  12. The Beretta action should be run dry. Any oil in thee will absorb combustion gas and powder to create a thick tar like substance. It a common issue with them.
  13. I went after work and there was 200 birds or so on the stubble. Got six!
  14. Had another session tonight but didn't shoot to brilliantly but got about 44 birds.
  15. As said else where get one that fits but most newer autos and pumps come with shim kits to get the fit spot on. Finding the empties might be an issue.
  16. One of the reasons I like the long recoilers Ben is that you don't get the gasses and fouling entering the action like you do on a gasser. It's splitting hairs really but with a long recoiler just keep the friction ring lubricated if needed, some don't need it, and it'll just run and run for months. In saying that....some gassers are better than others.
  17. Had a few over the years. Mossberg, Remington and a Winchester 1300. They all do the job and are very underestimated imo.
  18. In all honesty you won't go wrong with a cheap hatistani or an older Berretta 300 series. The Browning b80 is the Berretta action but not 3". One of my favourite autos is the franchi al48. Very reliable and very cheap. The later gas operated franchi models are good too.
  19. Think so. I'm skint just now and my licence is in for renewal but I have a few weeks left on them yet. Officer is visiting next week. It was easier picking the empties up compared to an auto!
  20. Tried another gun this afternoon. A Winchester sxp. I never realized the new ones are made in Turkey! Sporting a 26" tube and a teague 1/4 choke it comes up well. So well that I got 16 birds for 23 cartridges.
  21. Nice bow. #60 bit heavy for me. Very tempting.
