  1. Didn't the wombles live on Wimbledon common? I didn't know they relocated.
  2. Many slate the 308. They think it is out dated because it on paper looks poor. Silly really because in the real world most hunting shots are under 100yds! The good thing about 308 and big piggies is that you can load it with 200gn soft point round nose and drill them right through. If 2300fps works in a 30/30 and it does from a 150gn bullet it sure will with a 200gn at 2300+ from a 308. And the recoil isn't bad loaded thus.
  3. Look, there is a pigeon in it! And I picked up my trash. Only 21 birds yesterday afternoon. I shot like a blind man for the first few?. Still, being between jobs has its benefits!
  4. Bet you'd like me as your under keeper stav
  5. I knew this dog and vixen existed but had never seen them. How did I know. Because I shot two litters of pups on this field in summer but only shot two adults. 80yds and 150yds. The closest piled up within 10yds and the long one ran about 70yds.
  6. Another outing first thing and got busted by a fox only a short distance from the car?. What ensued was an hour's chase via the alarm calls of pheasant. A usual run he took until it got to the relative safety of maize. That's three times we have eye balled each other! Anyway rounded the morning off with a couple of crows around the 100 mark. But the cream on top was a maggie around the 70 mark skillfully stalked.
  7. Wow that is different! He probably will do a video on it. He has an excellent YouTube channel. Thanks Wolfie ?
  8. If I may....I guarantee you will not notice any recoil when piggie shows up!
  9. Its the ammo. Many are reporting issues with current Winchester ammo. Why they shut the plant in Australia I'll never know. Muppets.
  10. I have another in HMR. Think I shot the below group at 50, 100,150&200yds. Casually off a tri pod.
  11. And breath ? Slow down partner. Add a space or two, heck let's go mad and introduce paragraphs!! Lever gun is the correct term really. Or lever action Underlever sort of was used to describe an air rifles action. Martinis and falling blocks have levers also but generally are referred to as martinis or falling blocks operated via a lever acting on the mechanism or in short lever action. ?
  12. Is no one getting their panties all knotted over banning lead bullets your way KimE?
  13. I've got my granddaughter on it now also. She picked an old rusted red case the other day.
