  1. I've got to wait for it's return to fill a slot then I'll have to get it rolling for renewal.
  2. Kind offer mate but it's not really my scene and if ever I saw a rabbit on the range I could get in real bother!
  3. How can it be wrong to obtain ammunition for a firearm one is authorised to have in possession and use? Nothing has been surrendered or revoked!! Crack on.
  4. Mine is up in September! When should I send it in? I was thinking August.
  5. You could do with one of the old camelot lottery ball machines for these events stav!
  6. Looks to me like he is cross eyed. I use to go out with a cross eyed girl but it didn't work out. We could never see eye to eye on anything and besides, I'm sure she was seeing someone else on the side!
  7. Did the teacher cross the dead word out?
  8. I thought I was going to drenched yesterday also. It's cold for June! My friend who keeps bees says it's a bad year for honey!
  9. This airgun is like a laser! Back on the pest job. 8 rabbits, one Jackie and 6 woodies. All off hand to a max 60yds. This one is coming home to be cooked. 49 big strides off hand.I've tickled the trigger a little more and I think it's the limit for this cheap unit! I've polished the piston. There was some high spots. It's a lot smoother now and less twangy. Could do with scope a little more forward! Quite pleased.
  10. I was out for 3:30 this morning. It was fantastic. Didn't see a fox or deer but I looved every minute. Later I went to check a regular summer flight line for woodies making for barley fields. It was nice. In the shade, out the wind, face mask on and sat on the ploughed edge. Got several and some other stuff. No need to discuss cartridge ratios, why spoil a special moment!
  11. Stav, a year off won't hurt. You might be surprised how many wild birds might turn up. You may just get a few walked up days with a few friends, I'm a bit far away but thanks anyway. ?
  12. Well I sat up waiting for Charlie to come to the chicken when nearing 11:30 the young farmer opens his window and hurls abuse at an imagined fox ! His house overlooks the range. So I phoned him there and then to ask if he has seen it? Err no sorry he says. I give up!! Words just fail me!!!
  13. My first hmr a 452 shot the Winchester 20gn well but I had to many misfires. Re cci....I now understand that other manufacturers make hmr. Winchester, PMC and Sellier and Bellot make it too. I wish S&B products were more readily available.
  14. Hmmm, might try them again then, if right money ?
  15. Good luck with them. I had misfires with mine when I tried them, 17 and 20gn.
  16. Not a bad little pop gun. I'm having a couple of days off from chasing fox's. Overtime, early starts, late nights. So I went pop gunning. Its good practice any way. If I can shoot this, any proper rifle will be simple!
  17. Quick walk around with the hmr resulted in a Maggie. Immensely satisfying! Then it was pesting work on rabbits and private dwellings/small holdings. The WaltherTerrus is much better after the trigger job. Five rabbits, two crows. One crow at 60 and one rabbit over 50, all off hand.
  18. I also hit the crows on a farm again. I got a few then they were gone. They know the routine! I then went and stood over a late field of maize where a fox was screaming a a couple of nights ago. Didn't see it. I was there for two hours. A hare came right up to me. It was good to see that big eye so close! I then went to another farm a couple of miles away by a small river, it was freezing! I was ?. Then the mist appeared so I turned back. On the way back I looked over a gate to only observe a rabbit running towards me out of the fog! Hmm I thought, what has pushed him? A quick s
  19. Everyone on th plastic tipped mumbo jumbo things now ?
  20. Not if I got there first! Do you do deliver roo Deker?
  21. The 99 holds off hand better to be honest. And ofcourse, the weirach trigger is better. My off hand shooting has improved via the trigger improvement going by this mornings session.
  22. Looks super up there Stav. You are blessed indeed. A friend told me of the shock and horror the spring watch team had when they watched a hedgehog eat skylark chick's ?. Idyllistic dreamers, welcome to their world, err no, I'll stick to the realistic world ta.....
  23. I wanted a 177 air rifle again and stumbled upon a mint like new Walther Terrus. It's quite good but the trigger was to heavy, probably 3.5lb. On inspecting it was clear that the sears were in fact hooks! I stoned them but not much, barely discernable to the eye. It's probably 2.5lb and a slightly cleaner break. I'll see how it goes. 35yds off hand neck shot.
  24. Noticed the horse flying are getting about now also!
