  3. A good friend of mine gifted me a Baikal single in 20g the other day. Often maligned and the source of many a joke the humble Baikal single has never failed me and countless millions of others worldwide. I never had one in 20g so I was keen to give it a go. I may just need to lengthen the stock by 6-10 mm. Other than that it's a joy to carry, in fact I would say a stick, walking stick is more obtrusive. I used some eley 28ct and some Hull pro20 21g. Great fun. Thanks Tom ? SD.
  4. I traped all around night before last for nowt. Too knackered last night, virus! In bed fer six!
  5. If our fellow has not been convicted of an offense then no judgement can be made. Getting into a predicament and being arrested does not mean one is a phsyco on the loose. Go for it Mr.
  6. Marlin 60 clone I think. Where is the old goat anyway?
  7. No head shots for me, not saying never but always the boiler room. Across the ribs, or down the bib. No risk of busted jaws. If you like I treat it just how I would shoot a deer.
  8. Just had to pop out what with there being no moon and warm wind. I mooched around listening for any barking. Eventually I heard a quiet shallow bark not to far away so I moved towards it. The blooming thing came my way too but into a thick hedge the opposite side! It smells like a regular spot too. I heard it leg it the other side. I did get a glint in the distance and that was that so I decided to drive to a neighboring farm with ewes about to lamb. I walked around listening. Nothing. I was just getting back to the car when I ejected the subbie from the auto and would you

  12. Oh hornet, yes got ya, I thought there was another 22lr out.
  13. With the utmost respect brother I will never ever understand how an air gun can cost so much. It's a bottle, valve, trigger and barrel. Everything banged out by a four or five axis miller and a CNC lathe. I mean don't get me wrong, I've spent tens of thousands over the years but this amount for an airgun. Sorry bro, I'm out. ?
  14. Looks like some are moving back in. Missed the little smart ar.......things.
  15. Took a walk this gloomy morning with the 22, mainly to shoot some more of that dodgy Remington ammo off! Leisurely walking into the wind down the side of some scotch a squirrel broke cover, fortunately the ammo worked and my dog went and did her thing which usualy involves chewing and growling. When she was done and came back without the squirrel I encouraged her to go and fetch it and to my amazement she did, ok not to hand or feet but never the less out of the cover. It was when we resumed our walk that a pheasant up ahead started cocking up! A term I use to describe their ala
  16. Mooching about. It's a young 20year old larch plantation next to maize. I've not visited it for above a year and could not believe the amount of squirrels in there so I've give it a pasting.
  17. There you go then. Mines as reliable with CCI.
  18. That's great. Mine also handles subs 100%. Good ones that is. What subs does your mate use?
  19. That's a lot of money for a 22. Mine cost £100. I did the trigger. I must be doing something wrong
  20. I popped back to the wood full of squirrels this morning in the dark gloom and rain. Although gloomy it was quite warm in the larch. I took the 410 today and shot 21, that's 44 squirrels over two days. It's a lot quieter in there now and a couple today we're a lot more switched on! My glands are up and the gastroenteritis is back....where's the whiskey.....
