  2. I've got some rusty bits....well...it's a bit of an ornament now
  3. The more powder the more recoil Phil but as the bullets are light for all 22 rifles generally....the recoil isn't bad. No worse than a shotgun.
  4. You can laugh, when I were a lad I heard of this lamping lark so I dug out an old parrafin lamp and tried this ere lamping. It was very difficult that way I can tell ya! Nothing turned up last night but my trail cam picked up one with a liking for cat food!
  5. Well I hope he checks in. He's an ok feller. Hey Gav, stop twiddling with yer sporran, we miss you.
  6. Has his boat capped? Did that staggie finally run him down and rut with him? Did storm thingie blow him off a cliff? SD calling Gav.......
  7. Yeah, I've heared folk go on about a short shot string is better than a long one but I never found it a problem. In fact it's probably an aid! I mean if you got the lead (leed) wrong and the bird flew into the last few pellets etc.
  8. You should not be texting and driving Dave, especially at night tut tut. ?
  9. Oh I don't know.... There was that time I was making broadheads for arrows and thought I would try one in the front room! I thoughtfully placed the washing basket behind the target and let rip! It did rip! Straight through the target and basket narrowly missing my wife's best dress but shredding my best shirt! That was in front of the fire ?
  10. Yes, with fancy polished trigger guard and lever.....it must be the delux version ?
  11. He is a leggy lad int he! I just got in from a stand where I saw one last night. Didn't show and my feet were froz. I had that many layers on I could hardly walk!
  12. I think your spot on with just a little taken off the LOP. ??
  13. 32g loads can be punchy but a good fitting stock makes all the difference. That coupled with the lighter loads will make it a breeze to shoot.
  14. Stav, I don't think photos like that with one of them in your hand is allowed!!
  15. That's a good idea, sometimes the gaffa at work leaves his lap top lying around....does BS affect them?
  16. I have mate yes. The thing with charred cotton cloth is I get to make a mess and stink the house out in one easy step. ?
  17. Si, I'm wider than that fellow but lower down a little and my moobs are bigger than hers! I could certainly make it a freak show! Man they look so happy, it reminds me of my wedding anniversary do's!
  18. The knife was made for me by a knife maker. An old friend. Bayleyknife.com.
  19. Nearly all night! My first time out with a pard nv019 and Si was right I was out for five and a half hours following fox's about! It's taken some getting use to but I'm getting the hang of it. My aim was to tackle lamp shy fox's on my patches and it does that well. I watched one approach undetected and when I did light him up he was very surprised for a few moments. At close range it would of been an easy shot were it not for the nettle patch in the way! I'll be back! Witnessed a dog and Vixen scrapping. Stood up on their back legs punching at each other, I though wow,
  20. Bismuth can be used like regular lead but is classed as non toxic. However....it is much more expensive. I'm thinking that if you found a good fitting gun, and don't shoot hundreds of ducks then......
  21. Arhh, I've got one of them too...but let's concentrate on shotguns! Nothing wrong with a 20g. In fact I think 12g is a little over rated to be honest!
  22. Is there a particular reason for multi choke? I ask because I never really worried about it and got them adjusted to my needs or did them myself. There is bismuth too instead of steel!
