  1. Blow your nose next time before you take that shot!
  2. The 410 slug is very useful but completely overlooked and undercatered gun wise in the UK. A good reason/argument can be made for the light weight projectile of a 410 slug dispensing its energy very quickly thus aiding safety. Sufficient energy for close range humane destruction of vermin and humane dispatch. Another could be that not a large inventory of firearms is desired. After all that finding a gun that can be aimed suitable for slugs will be more limiting than the licencing department!
  3. Hey! I prefer unhinged thank you! Eccentric is for tarts!
  4. I think a lot of folk don't speak of badger damage openly incase it gets attention from packhamites! Anyone who knows the real facts would not hesitate with some control measures! Only romancitists would contest it!
  5. The small scrawny ones are as bad as the big fat ones. We are on about fox's right?
  6. Not in the conditions of use mate target only.
  7. #1 Steak, with a small salad, cos I like to stay in shape ? #2 abstain from for legal reasons. #3 Ernie. B, Hill. #4 Shoval cos he would probably get there first and there would be little for me to do by the time I got there. Defo jock Gav and Stav cos under that tart gear he is just an old poacher. #5 Charlie. #6 political correctness.
  8. Well done Stav. I saw nowt. Walked for miles to. I'm glad at this time of year. Pheasant eggs everywhere! Hopefully a few hens will go broody. Already had reports of a hatch.
  9. Are you sure they were clapping for you....I thought Thursday at 8pm was clap for the NHS time! Any way, well done. I have a long vigil tonight. I'm sat amongst the chucks now and then I will lamp the unit later then off to the lambs. It'll be gone midnight before I get in!
  10. There is some potential here. The large commercial shoots may finish but the small sporting shoots flourish. I think that may be better, for the bird, the country side and the image of shooting!
  11. My 410 recently convinced two Jackie's it's a bad idea to fill my chimney with what ever they fancy filling a chimney with!
  12. Everything is affected by wind. Especially my Mrs!
  13. No one gets the violins out for a rabbit or a rat shot suckling young ?
  14. It's down to the lack of rain. There is little to no worms on top. The first two rabbit hatches are over. There is no easy pickings this spring so they are coming for the chucks.
  15. I heard a chuck get taken last night. I had gone bed early and heard it.
  16. I'm keeping out of it as I am predictable obviously!
  17. Mines gone in the middle. I told her that would happen using a hot frying pan!
  18. That's amazing, a hornet's nest on your head in winter!
  19. Yeah, dunno who's more nuts though....
  20. I think I found the earth that she took that cub from. My dog doesn't seem to keen but was certainly checking it out. My dog would of been digging if one was still in there. The only mess was the remains of a single jackdaw. Something very strange has gone on here. Need to speak to a nearby farmers son who does a bit in case he shot a fox recently.
  21. I doubt it twice as much of the same powder, it would have to be different mate. I definitely would prefer the stronger cartridge so look, if it helps I can get rid of them for you. No seriously, I don't mind. Send me a PM and I will arrange a courier to collect them not a problem ?. Joking aside. Eley are not the company they use to be. If they have screwed up and double dosed the charge they need to know! Or, it could be someone else is doing their 410 ammo now!
  22. I don't know if it's her cub or not, was it sick? Was it just instinct controlling her actions? I don't know but it's never boring and always interesting. What I also know is a vegan or vegetarian would never see this and if they did, they would never publish it!
