  1. never owned a whippet a mate had a good 1 must be 30 years ago. did you ever see the blue and white bitch Trev70 has on here I am sure that would change your mind about whippets.
  2. I like a little whippet Cross for ferreting ?
  3. OK. did they say it was illegal for dogs to chase a rabbit since 1828? or did they quote the without permission bit?
  4. isn't it for the police to prove he poached the rabbit and run on ground without permission? what happened to innocent until proven guilty? by the way I haven't seen the programme.
  5. joking aside mate there was some cockerxbedlngton pups on there a bit back. I thought to myself if working stock which I doubt they were they could make handy ferreting dogs.
  6. o you lucky man katchy ?
  7. kids and ferrets a great mix?and you can't beat plenty of space for them.
  8. Yes it does. I am getting better with practice but I find the wide band a bit of a distraction. I think a finer line would suit me. I will try ott in the future.
  9. it didn't take you long. Still practicing here before I attempt hunting ?. is there a reason why you prefer ott, noticed a lot are shooting that way?
  10. it varies really. some people start them at 6 months old and have no problem. kits born in May could be tried at end of November. some leave them till the following year. the chap who I had my present jills from was bolting a few at 16 weeks, which I would call early, he used to be on this site and certainly knows his way around ferreting ?
  11. around late June and July there will be plenty of young kits available. your choice but I would go for 2 Jill's at 8 weeks old.
  12. how many lurcher pups go to working home these days?
  13. it's the age old thing it's your money it's your choice. many moons ago beddywhippet pups were fetching around £45.g. Kelly at Brownhills regularly advertised in the shooting news at £100.me and a mate went he had a fawn 1 I had a blue bitch. lot of lads said we were soft in the head. well happy with them had mine 16 years. in the words of that great English philosopher (Adam ant) ridicule is nothing to be scared of.
  14. you see pups from this area regularly on there. Bungay, Norfolk, Bungay Suffolk. fxxck knows what county it is in. somebody there knocks out beddywhippet pups few litters every year. rambo breeding to laguna whippets.
  15. fair play to you at least you stick at it. I don’t have the skills or the patience for net making. plus there are far better men doing it than i could ever be. I don't mind paying top dollar for top quality.
  16. I don't think the hare will notice mate.
  17. wish you all the best, I really do. you just need that slice of luck. no disease or anything and hopefully come September they will be there?
  18. I need a lighter draw due to my wrists being fxxked.
  19. ? will these bands be OK for squirrels?
  20. I am not complaining, I use tip of fork and its accurate. just wonder why it doesn't work for me using the dimp.
  21. Yes mate and frame is level as we'll
  22. it had gold but they didn't last 2 minutes. using GZK.. 76 and 9.5 steel. practicing at moment won't be hunting until the autumn.
  23. that's him. I plan on practicing through the summer. then using mainly for squirrels this autumn.
  24. got it off ebay. West Yorkshire. nick
  25. just started with a ttf catty first since being a kid. After a couple of weeks practicing I am now finding some accuracy. when I use aiming dimp it shoots too far to the right. I use the tip of fork and its accurate, does this mean I am holding it wrong? or should I carry on with tip of fork?
