Foundation for a sandstone wall today, builder said he wanted it 600 wide ( which is fine ) and 500 deep, I said “ you are building a garden wall not a fu*king house” so we’ve gone for 300, still almost 4 cube to do it the mixer

I don’t mind a bit of fencing but I think after 12 weeks I wouldn’t want to see another fence board ever again ( lol )

Bit of fencing this week, was meant to be a fence between 2 properties, started and got the back fence to do as well

Sickener for the jock’s though, you could see it come off the boot and by the way it was sat it was on the ground, but as you say, no clear view so you can’t argue it

Out this evening for the first time in ages with my good friend and his missus who has just finished her chemo treatment, so before she’s in for an operation we thought we’d go somewhere nice, I went for the sea bass, one of the best things I’ve eaten in a long time

Thought I’d put my van in for a service and front pads and discs, they wanted £360, sod that, done it myself in an hour and a half for £105, that says to me that they think they are worth about £150 an hour, I might go back to being a mechanic

Ya not wrong, this stuff worked out at about £5.50 a meter, the screw and fixings were about £400, be getting on for over 6k in materials,

Found another shed today, this one is full of old timber that the old boy thinks he’ll need in the future, I’m glad it’s not my job because I’d of lamped the old bugger by now

3 days at it now and I still haven’t put a dent in it, keep finding sheds and buildings, anyway got a Timberwolf dropped off this morning so should start getting stuff cleared now

I’ve bought from auction for a long time now, mainly to sell on, I normally buy salvage now because at least you know it’s fu*ked, you need to know what you are looking at and go and have a look, there’s still some good buys to be had on the ex fleet stuff but give them a good look over because where I used to work we’d take a fleet back in, make good motors by robbing bits off one to fix another then send the sh*te to auction
