  1. Giving my mate a hand today fitting sandstone sills to an extension he’s doing, I love working with people who are really good at what they do, next door is Rishi Sunak’s house, that place is massive the owner of this place is in finance but his hobby is messing around with wood, he had a workshop built that has been fully kitted out by Festool, most joiners shops don’t have a set up like this guy
  2. Griddled chicken breast with garlic and thyme roast new spuds and a leek, white wine and cream sauce, few carrots

  9. No mate, 1.6 diesel, I’ve replaced a few of them eco boost engines, the early ones were terrible for overheating and you couldn’t do anything with them apart from replace the full lump on another note, I’ve just given someone 1200 quid for a 66 plate Citroen nemo, just needs a clutch ( which is supplied with the van ) should be a few quid in that
  10. Sacked work off today to catch up on a few jobs first off cleaned my garage out, I’ve got no idea how I accumulate so much sh*te then replaced the floor in the trailer And then sold a car for a tidy little profit, happy days
  11. Running concrete in for the piling lads this morning then onto trenching for services to a garage that’s apparently getting built
  12. Back up to the beautiful north, a quick chicken dinner and a nap in my chair, I’ve came to the conclusion that I hate London and with a bit of luck will never have to go anywhere near the place again
  13. My mate priced them up, they want them over 2 meters tall and I think the hedge is about 40 meters
  14. My view for the next 5 hours, stuck in the car with my missus and my mam, wish me luck
  15. It’s been on our local news a lot lately, it’s sad but a lot end up in the river and it’s normally months before they find them, there was an old girl that went in around Christmas and they still haven’t recovered her body
  16. All it wanted was some 10mm rebar dropping into the concrete, they are mental, they have asked for a price for a yew hedge and just to buy the plants is over 6k
  17. Seriously, I’m not making this up, there’s a 6’ wall going there, I dug a 500 deep trench which I thought was more than enough, then they got an engineer in ( who knows why ) and now his mates are piling it 5 meters down for a little under 10 grand ( lol )
  18. Type one in and the lads are here piling, 5 meters down for a 6 foot wall, no idea why, so I’m leaving them too it and off on a 5 hour drive to Reading for a family wedding, think I’d rather stay and put this Yorkshire stone down
  19. Very sad, I’m just watching his last program now, RIP

  24. Capping has a grove in it to sit over the boards, screw it on rather then nails, it keeps everything straight
  25. Foundation for a sandstone wall today, builder said he wanted it 600 wide ( which is fine ) and 500 deep, I said “ you are building a garden wall not a fu*king house” so we’ve gone for 300, still almost 4 cube to do it the mixer
