  1. Yeah, I’m always on with something different, I was asked yesterday to go on a demolition job and I’ve got a load of farm fencing to do, but I do like doing this type of job
  2. Yeah, customer has got what they wanted, a level garden, they had 3 or 4 others round to price the job but they all said they couldn’t have it level, 300 ton of backfill, a retaining wall and 40 ton of top soil shows they can have it as they want. Once the path is in and the lawn is established it will all be planted up so it won’t look so bare
  3. To this, 4 weeks, went over by a week, but my mate who’s job it is isn’t bothered, so I’m guessing he’s got a very good price in, I’ll be back to put the path in in a couple of months once we see if there’s any settlement ( which they will be )
  4. Home made corned beef and potato pie yesterday with new spuds and day glow mushy peas tonght was pork loin chops, with mash and veg
  5. Fence finished and pillar caps on, should be finished tomorrow
  6. Surface in and levelled, then off to feed the flying chickens
  7. All weather surface going in today, jobs are still coming in, don’t people know I normally rap in around mid November

  10. Saag chicken from scratch for me this evening with some plain basmati rice, not hot but spicy, lovely stuff
  11. Chicken dinner to enjoy while ignoring all the bloody kids knocking on my door
  12. Done the sea bass with leek and new spuds again because it’s Mrs Stav’s new favourite
  13. Step put in today and started fencing between the pillars, not how I would of done it but it’s what they wanted
  14. Corned beef pie from yesterday with new spuds, peas and carrots, first thing I’ve had to eat today and I feel a little nap coming on
  15. Feeding flying chickens today, it’s like a summer’s day, not what it should be like at the end of October
  16. Beef today and I made a corned beef and potato pie/giant pasty type thing
  17. First day on the pheasants today and it’s like a summers day, but I’ll take that over the fog yesterday
  18. Second job today, feeding and setting things out for the first day on the pheasants tomorrow, don’t hold out much hope if the weather is like it is today
  19. I’ve never used that mapai is it any good? easyjoint have brought out a 2 part epoxy grout that looks good but it’s about 80quid a tub and when you are getting through a dozen tubs on a big job it soon adds up and with it being an epoxy I’m not sure if you ever need to redo it or lift the paving if you could get it off or if it will knack the natural stone
